I know this is Eklund fantasy land but can someone please explain to me why Calgary would bring back Cammalleri? Doesn't this team need to bottom out? - Mr_Smokey
Burke doesn't believe in "bottom out". |

This coming from the man that said "I want to be a Leaf for life". You'd think the same individual would agree to some reasonable terms to lower the strain on the organization... |

Anyone hear what Stasny wants? Is it term or a huge raise because I can't see ANA paying him $7+ mil to be a second line center. I can see them giving him a max term deal but Colorado could beat that. Maybe offer sheet ROR? |

He makes 6.6 now .He would probably give the avs a bit of a discount too stay put ,but i cant see him taking much less on the open market |

I wouldn't question why Calgary would want to being back cammy ...I would question why wouldn't cammy test free agency ...he can play center or wing ...if your say the ducks why not sign cammy to a cheap contract and keep all your assets that it wound require to acquire kesler , spezza, etc

Blues sign Stastny to a 5 yr, $35 M contact. - carcus He will get 7 years ,he is the top f/a and he is already on a good team making 6.6 mil a season.I dont see how 400k raise on a medium term contract makes him leave tbh

Bolland basically got paid for being hurt last year. He should thank the Leafs by playing for a million. |

A 7 year contract will put him at 35 when it expires. What kind of contract could he expect after that?
A 5 year contract will put him at 33. Could likely make much more money on his next deal.
A max length contract is not always the best idea for a player IMO.

A 6 year deal is the best if he wants to bet that he will be playing at a high level at 34. That way he can sign a 4-5 year contract and not scare a team with the 35+ year rule. |

Bolland to the Kings? I guess you are assuming Richards gets bought out or something otherwise where the heck does he play?
If there is one thing the Kings are not, its center poor.. - fsanford
Even if LA were to get rid of Richards. Bolland isnt going to beat out Stoll. Unless hes also gone. I think LA would rather be loyal to Stoll than bring in Bolland. I like Bolland. But aint going to happen. Plus LA has two kids grooming for Stolls spot anyways. |

I think you put your finger on the craziness of LA being interested in Bolland. They are likely going to have to buy out or trade Richards to sign Gaborek. They have Toffoli waiting in the wings ready to play a regular center shift. Where does Bolland fit? He wants money similar to Richards. - spatso
LA could retain Gaborik and keep Richards if they wanted. Im also betting Gaborik resigns for a little less than he makes now. |

@aaronward_nhl: #TSN Insider Trading discussed potential Lecavalier move. Look for Flyers to be very active, specifically with a focus on Defenseman. #TSN
Not that he's every right about anything, but think any of our veteran d-men would waive for Philly? |
