But we heard from league sources that it's still possible that Bill Daly and commissioner Gary Bettman will make a proposal to the Board of Governors in less than two weeks. So it's up in the air at this point.

All the bridges that were burned were with the old regime. That being said, I doubt Murray has any interest in signing him. That statement in Bleacher Report was founded on nothing but speculation of the fact that he's played here before.

maybe if the sabres could sign him to a 1 year deal for big money to reach the cap floor, then trade him for a 1st when he goes on a goal streak... maybe Garth Snow would trade for him again

Understandable (stupid bleacher reports)

I'm just antsy for the Kings to take the next game, we here a decision on our RFA's and Buyouts (can't spell Buyout without Leino...which is Pig Latin for Buyout) and the Draft. I know that next year is not that much of a possibility for playoffs but I just want some damn exciting hockey again.
