Dude is the definition of a gamer. You would never know that he had a career worst regular season

they are good to lead the rebuild but Nolan as HC will never be a stanley cup winner.

Nothing we have to worry about for at least 5 years, if we're lucky

I think Marcus could be a 15-15 guy who kills penalties and (consistency issues rectified) a physical force.

Would rather keep him, but he's no deal breaker for sure

- grand-magus

Id really like to see the Sabres aquire the jack-of-all-trade; Nick Foligno (who TM is familliar with from Ottawa) , to unite with Marcus on Buffalo's 3rd line.

At 26 yrs old, Nick Foligno would slot into this rebuild very nicely. He could pehaps help his brother's development, & it would be a syrefire PR homerun for the fans.

Right direction for sure, I liked the GM hire, thought it was a great choice.

What I wonder about for BUF is the Goalie position, A lot of good specs, some young unproven guys but at this point its definately a crap shoot in the BUF net. Curious to see who wins out.

Neuvirth & Enroth to start the year i assume and wait for a trade to be able to bring a Hackett or Liewen up

- MrBeanTown

Hackett's on his way out. I'd be really surprised if he isn't thrown into a trade on draft day. Guy is horrible. Lieuwen is an AHL starting 1a/b goalie or a journeymen backup in the NHL.

Great is a strong word. I'd love Brown though. Just not now, he's getting up there too

IMO If they make a play for Evander Kane, Hodgson and Pysyk are part of what goes the other way.
- dadeadhead

Pysyk, Zadorov, Myers and Ristolainen aren't going anywhere. Especially to bring in a player with Kane's attitude no way.

Ehrhoff, Hodgson/Ennis, Ruhwedel, St. Louis 1st, 2nd rounder and Foligno for Ladd and Kane?

Just not now ..........

He is the captain of a 2 time Stanley Cup Championship team (unless Rangers come back (0-3)

What do these type of players have to do??? Not grow up around this area!

He's also almost 30 signed for another 7 years.

Guys like him break down from how physical they play. That's the main reason I don't want Cally as a FA

Would never call Brown great . But he is a gamer . He shows up in the big ones . No comparison between Brown and Callahan . Callahan is a grinder will never be more than 3rd - 4th liner . Brown can do the job on 2nd if needed.

I dont know what playoffs youve been watching, but Brown has hardly been a catalyst for the Kings success these playoffs... Doughty, Carter, Williams have all had better overall playoffs for them.

Not sure what your watching either?? Brown scored OT goal in game 2, playing a great 2 way game. Scored tonight, just saying

Of course, but Brown has 8 goals.

He's been pretty damn good for a guy who was frequently criticized this year

For the topic of the blog, great to see Kempe on your list. Not sure I agree with the other 2 players. I've identified 5 players I want Murray to target in a trade up scenario, in order: Ehlers, Kempe, Barbashev, Goldobin, Karlsson.

The team will score more goals, Neuvirth puts up very similar numbers as Miller playing on a team that hasn't been the greatest in their own end either.

So yes I can see him winning 20-25 games next year if he plays 60.

- dadeadhead

No way that happens. Especially with a 1A-1B goalie situation we will have next season. Similar stats to Miller? The guy has 21 wins in the last 3 seasons. Nowhere near similar to Miller's stats.

How do you come to the conclusion that we will score more goals next year? We've had Stewart added to our offense while having Vanek, Moulson and Ott off our offense. Hard to see where your getting this prediction from.
