I disagree though. All of the character development/story is leading up to fights, so they have to hash them out eventually, and last night was a good example I think.

I agree. They've developed those characters for 3 1/2 seasons now. Time for a fight. Made it that much more interesting.

Reading Ryan's blog: I wonder if the $abre$ would feel intrigued to pay Ju$$i Jokinen.

Seriously. Did you see any of Gaudreau these last World Championships? Kids a keeper & will be in the Flames lineup next year. Why would we give him up to move up 2 spots. So Bennett or Draisaltl & Gaudreau for Ekblad or Reinhart? I don't think so. We are quite happy with any of the 4 falling to us. Now for your 2nd overall, I've suggested Sven Baertche & Granlund & maybe our 2nd(#34 pick) for it. Both are NHL ready forwards that could be a perfect fit for the Sabres rebuild & both are quite capable of being in your lineup next fall. Otherwise, wasting assets to move up 2 spots when we already have top 4 & much debate over the order of these top 4 is just silly.

I heard Burke really likes him, he must be doing so well.
- TheSabresTaco

actually Burke does like him....that's why he sent him down to the AHL to develop him more and he really benefitted as his defensive game really improved from it. It's about developing players properly even if it takes some patience
Buffalo and Edmonton could learn a thing or two about that

Well, good thing our current regime came in knowing that.

If we swing any deals with Nashville, I'd love to get either Calle Jarnkrok or Miikka Salomaki. They're some under-the-radar guys that are doing pretty well. Doubt they give up Forsberg.

That's someone they'd like to keep...

With all this Kesler talk and some old rumors that Kesler would veto trades anywhere other than Chicago to be with Kane (http://www.hockeybuzz.com/blog.php?post_id=58492), should Buffalo see what they could offer for him as a carrot to bring Patrick home?
- stashu

Don't u think we'd have to get Kane before Kesler would waive his NTC to come here?
I doubt he does it without know ing for sure that Kane isn't resigning in Chicago & that he will be coming to Buffalo.

Yep. Spezza, Heatley, Alfredsson in his prime, Chara, Hossa, Havlat, Redden, Kelly, Neil, Volchenkov, Phillips, Comrie, Vermette, Fisher... They were probably the most stacked team in the last 15 years.
- LetsGoBuffalo75

Hossa wasn't on those teams post lockout.

He was traded for Heatley.
