Last speeding ticket I got was in Ile Perrot, just after crossing the bridge.

The guy said he caught me at 99 in a 70 zone, but I was following traffic, I was in the right line and there were even people passing me on the left.

I was probably going around 80-85...the policeman came back so quickly with my papers that I thought he was giving me a chance. Then I just understood that my ticket was filled in advance, all he needed was my info.

I thought about contesting, but for 125$ I felt it was a big waste of time and money.

Anyhow, the law is there for a reason. You want to question its validity, put yourself in a position to do so. Otherwise, if you don't abide by it, you risk the consequences of breaking it.
