You know what though? Chances of him coming to Buffalo are zero, but perhaps coming to a team without a couple bone heads backing him up would allow him to actually play hockey. He is a good hockey player.

I cant agree with that. Kaleta has boarded players head first, head butted guys, done cheap stuff after the whistle, charged players with high hits to the head.

My only complaint is when someone does the same thing to Kaleta they are never called. He's been on the receiving end of a lot of cheap shots

I would say the amount of scummy things done by Marchand are on par with Kaleta...the slew foot, the clipping, the boarding, not to mention the flopping

You should watch some for footage on Marchand . No one disputing Kaleta could be a real tool . Marchand can be be just a big a tool . But he is a Bruin so I guess it is alright. I swear Jacobs has to have something on Bettman.

Kaleta could have killed Jack Johnson, could have ended Brad Richards career (even though it was slowly dying on it's own) He gave the Flyers player a concussion (forgot his name) and was suspended.

Hits to the head are gonna happen no matter what (not defending the hits though they are bad especially the head butts) but to go low and go after a knee you do that on purpose you don't accidentally go low.

Now Kaleta has crossed the line and crossed the line a bunch but I don't think he is intentionally going for a "kill" shot every instance he was suspended. Marchand knows full well what he is doing going low.

Ill break it down. Why are hits the head a focus? Cause they happen more often and cause serious injury. Why do they happen more? Because the head is usually in a position to be hit at least easier than to hit someone in the knee. Going low happens so infrequently because of a bunch of factors. You have to make a conscience effort to go low it stands out.

Going low like that you KNOW what you are doing. How do I know? It's what we as officials are taught to look for. Going after a knee is just as dangerous as a head shot when it comes to a players career. But even as a player I have hit players in the head unintentionally I have never gone after a players knees before.

Kaleta and Marchand are def in the same category as far as level or dirtiness in their game one just happens to score more
