Tortorella is everything you don't want for a rebuild.

Plus if he was only an assistant coach then how would he have tussles with the local media?

Have the strange feeling that he's going to hold out and go thru UFA a la Schultz.

I hope not

Hey Michael...liking the blogs to date! Keep it up.
How about a blog analyzing potential 2nd round picks...who makes sense there for Sabres.

I'm hoping for Bennett myself...send him off with a bag of steroids to Gary Roberts training this summer with Coho...then let him get another year in Jr', another summer with Roberts...and the beast of the draft is the Sabres!

- IonSabres

working on that...in a way...focused upon whether or not the sabres should draft a goalie in the second

Michael,

Thanks for not writing 5 lines of dribble and following it up with some hockey poll. We all know there's not a lot to write about. How much more can you discuss other than ELCs and whether to draft Reinhardt Benit or Elitebald. You're doing a great job so far, keep it up!

Although if I could offer just a suggestion, perhaps if you'd like, and there's nothing else going on like say mid July and August, focus on some advanced stats for some of the prospects, projections etc.

- TheSabresTaco

thx, cap'n taco...I must admit, I'm pretty weak in the advanced stats area...gonna take some work which i'm not adverse to doing

But you're good with giving that slug Scott a roster spot?

I would love to have the big fella for one more year . But we are a minority in here. Big John is the root of all evil to some.

Well if we get Marchand , it guarantees Scott a spot . Someone has to fight his fights for him .

I guess they would need the comedy show off the ice to match the one on it...

I'm for keeping him for another year. He scored a goal !!
We can't lose the scoring from both Scott and Leino

Good point. I just always had a soft spot for skill/grit guys. He is a rat, yes, but the kid can play.

If Ekblad is left at #2 and the Sabres aren't thinking of drafting D, knowing the Oilers' D situation what else could Buffalo get from Edmonton by swapping the #2 and #3 picks?
- As_I_See_It

I'm hours late in responding to this one but I think Edmonton calls Buffalo's bluff and doesn't trade at all. Win win for Edmonton.

He crosses the line . Some of moves are plain gutless crap. Only reason he does it is because he knows he has a few boneheads on the Bruins Roster to fight his fights.

Marincin or Klefbom? Add a a piece on our end
- sbroads24

Moving up one spot is not really worth giving up one of those guys unless we get a near equally good prospect back that is a centre or a right hand shot Dman.
