Except Kaleta and Scotts careers combined don't even come close to touching a season of Marchand...

Marchand has talent, you just haev a blind hatred for him, whihc i do not blame you for.

- ImThatGuy

Kaleta and Scott 29g 28a for 57pts for their career.

Machand's best season is 55 pts.

Just saying......

And in response I would say that your blind love for Sabres players has made your bias abundantly clear

I literally posted how much I liked Kaleta until he started sucking at his job.

- sbroads24

Bottom line is this. Just like Matt Cooke, Pat Kaleta has a target on his back from the powers that be. And he has 100% earned it.

As far as Brad Marchand goes, does he get away with certain things? Sure. The difference, though, is that he plays on a good team. Good teams almost always get the benefit of the doubt in just about any sport. It's human nature. It's why I say that if you're a team that's rebuilding or simply not very good, the likes of a John Scott or Pat Kaleta have no business on your team. You're already at a disadvantage. Adding another liability for yourself just isn't smart.

Not at all . I agree Kaleta was out of control going back to Rochester to retool his game was needed . He did not have the evil malice and intent Marchand did . He was just playing the way he felt could keep him in the league . The shame is Marchand does have some offensive talent and could stick in the NHL with that but chooses to be a scumbag .

Whether you realize it or not Scott was needed around here because this team was soft and was being rag dolled by every franchise in the league . Sorry you never got that . But at least Scott was not a scumbag in doing that job. Sometimes when you play any sport at a high level you realize it takes all sorts of players to make up a team . Sometimes you need an enforcer to make up for the rest of the team being soft.

I wish the NHL was the ideal world that you would like and a 4th line player like Cory Tropp could still be here . But unfortunately it is not . And all the hate speech you have for the likes of John Scott and Patrick Kaleta is not going to change the culture of the NHL. So carry on and rail against them for 10 pages like you always do . I have to go out to dinner so I will not be responding.

Since Scott was acquired, this team got worse in the win column. A lot worse. His impact was minimal.

Again, you are claiming to know what both players intents are.

Giving Kaleta a pass while knowing for a fact Marchand was out to injure

That's called being a homer

Pretty obvious when watching the games, having played in junior and in university what the intent was . But you know better even though a referee that watches these games can also see the same intent I do. Carry on . Sorry you have such a hate on for Kaleta and Scott. Are we are better franchise with them ? Probably not. But we are not soft and the pansies in the league.

If anyone remembers I was against the signing originally, against the resigning, and any future signings.

Waste of an NHL roster spot.

They still were even with Scott here.

But that has been gone over and over, no need to rehash.

After July 1st he won't be here hopefully.

Well, it was pretty obvious to the NHL that Kaleta intended to hurt players. Considering he's been suspended 6 times. I'm sure you can just file that under the old "Everyone is against Buffalo" label though.

Again, I know when you read this, you will just reply as if you didn't but I don't hate Kaleta, I was a huge fan of his. He's done, he doesn't draw penalties anymore, he just does plain dumb things and gets called for them

I have no soft spot for him because he's from here or because he is just a hard worker trying to keep a job, as if that somehow means he should not be held to any standards

It would be really hard for Kaleta to do all he's done without intent. He's either really brash or really (frank)ing stupid, like IQ of 30 stupid. Either way, he's a liability, especially because of his lack of ability on offense.
