The only team that should sign him is Boston. So that they don't have to play against Vanek.

I always saw Markov as a Red Wing if he wasn't a Hab. If they are unable to reach an agreement, I hope the Habs trade his rights to at least get something for him.

Hearing that while the reports of Gagner for Umberger from last week aren't completely out of reality, there is definitely more to that deal...from both teams. Was told the players the Oilers want has not been mentioned and that the deal would be a 2 for 2 plus a pick trade.

The Sabres have also looked into Sam Gagner, but found the price to be too high...

Well the player who hasnt been mentioned yet had better be a hell of a nice piece if Umberger is one player coming back and the Sabres find the price too high. Umberger is a buy-out candidate this year for CBJ. I dont know why the Oilers would trade for him and pay his full salary when they can probably sign him as a FA after the potential buy-out happens.

He's a rugged player that the Oilers could use, but not for that contract and price.

On Moulson

I don't think the Sabres will bring back Moulson. We are in tanking mode right now. I could see Moulson in Vancouver, Calgary, Ottawa, Columbus or Florida next season.

Um, in case you forgot we tanked last year with Moulson playing here over half the season...not saying he is coming back but he liked it here and we need cap salary to reach the basement level so not out of the question.

We will be last again in the standings next year just on goal tending alone bc without Miller we would not of had the amount of points we had. I don't see Murray trying to acquire top level talent this year in terms of established players as much as 2015 draft picks and maybe working a trade with either Ehrhoff or Myers to acqire another 1st rounder in this years draft. This years and next years draft is what Murray is going to use to put his stamp on this team.
