My favorite moment including Hrudey was when Al MacInnis broke the glass with a slapshot. On the shot, to make it more amazing, Hrudey actually tries to duck out of the way and deflects it slightly and slows it down before it hits the glass.

Not sure if this would work but if Chicago wants a second line center what about a B. Schenn for Leddy Deal. I am not keen on trading schenn but gets you a 23 year old dman

Word is Chicago may be looking to shed salary. If Schenn's wanting $3M+, that might not be something they're interested in. He's much easier to trade if he would sign for a more reasonable number.

if they are desperate to shed salary, make a run at bringing Sharp back to Philly. He would like mighty good on Giroux's wing.

I'm not even going to contemplate what the Flyers would have to do to be the high bidder on him. A 40+ goal guy with no major baggage seems to be a pretty rare commodity.

Matt Ellison wouldn't be enough?

So he's still playing hockey - for Croatia's Zagreb Medvescak in the KHL alongside Jonathan Cheechoo and Kurtis Foster.

Ian Mendes ‏@ian_mendes 9m

Just had the Courtnall Bros. on the show and Geoff admitted that his good friend at EA Sports boosted his player ratings back in the day.

mine was when he fought the beezer back in 85. my second was when the flyers clobbered him in game 7 of the 2nd round of the 87 playoffs with brad marsh scoring a shortie and sinisalo sniping goals 4 and 5.

I'd be fine with them staying pat for the most part... I'm not one of those people who are panicking over Giroux 'wasting' his prime years as the team develops. If they just move Vinny and/or one of AMac or Grossmann's contracts out this summer, I'd deem the offseason a big success.

Flyers just acquired MacDonald, and he has added skill and mobility to the defense. As well as being solid defensively. His deal is market value. Why on earth would the Flyers want to trade him this off season?

I'd go with Read and Giroux, with Simmonds on the right side. And move Voracek to the 2nd line.

Hextall wasn't part of the Flyer management when MacDonald was acquired? You don't think he had anything to do with it, or was in on the conversations before acquiring MacDonald?

I'm sure he was. But last time I checked Assistant GM's don't have final say.
