He played every PP. And he is now a 3rd line shutdown guy like he should have been in Mtl. Managing expectations.

You're adding to my point, thank you.

I understand your point. But again, if he can give anywhere around 18+, it's pretty good coupled with the way he plays and the effort he gives night in and night out.
- hscesq

Yes totally.

IMO for now, he's a 15-20 guy.

I'm quite sure he'll be hitting the 20/25 mark soon enough. Just can't say he's a consistent 20/25 goal scorer when he hasn't hit the 20 goal mark yet.

No. But it was the closest. Attached to Penn Station.

To be honest, I don't even think it was adversity for Vanek. The guy simply just looked like someone who didn't wanted to get hurt, and that was saving himself for another team.

If Gallagher remains a steady 20-25 goal scorer playing with girt and intensity i'm going to be sooooo pissed.

What a waste of a 5th rounder.

- Scabeh

Completely taking what I wrote out of context.

I'm saying that Gallagher's bar won't continue to rise. He is a serviceable 2nd line winger. Not some young superstar in the making or top line threat. I doubt he consistently breaks 30 goals a year if he even does it once.

He will need to evolve his game as he gets older because his style will eventually end in some serious injuries.

The comparison to Higgins was simply that of blind love. Fans and bloggers alike used to think Higgins would be the Habs next 40 goal scorer and if you said otherwise you would of had everybody on every board jumping to conclusions and exaggerating the post.

All I said was I think what we see Gallagher do now is what we get. Which I'm quite pleased with but to think that the sky is the limit and that he will only get better is dreaming.

He said he didn't had any specific injury that was hampering his play

Eller has size that he can learn to use better.

Plus I never said Eller would get better. But I'm glad you insinuate that I wrote something just to make yourself seem more clever.

He looked disinterested for whatever reason. It doesn't matter to me. If a disinterested Thomas Vanek can put up 4 goals against Boston in the playoffs, I'll take that.
