Just went to Modell's to see if I could pick up a new baseball glove for my son, as his exploded last night. I walked in and there is Ranger crap everywhere. I mean, the place is BLUE with t-shirts and what have you. I couldn't breathe. Kid will use his bare hands.

Gallagher is a very good energy guy who can contribute offensively. He is an excellent spark plug. Every team in the league would take him.
- Champ

Yep. If he scores 18-25 goals per season until pounded into the ground, I will gladly accept that.

Good player.

Shouldn't be on the first line.

A lot of questions going forward.

Who replaces Vanek?
Who replaces Markov?
Do you trade Bourque at first offer? YES (please sell high).
Do you trade Plekanec who has one year left or sign him before you lose him for nothing? (NJ anyone)
Do you let Gionta go? YES

- Champ

Nobody's going to be lining up to ask for Bourque.

That being said, he as shown he can be effective if he's confident and motivated. He should be better next year.

Doesn't make him a steady 20/25 goal scorer.

I'm being an hass here... but I hate when fans say steady after half a season in the NHL... and although 19 is considered really close to 20.. .it's not 20 and even less 25.

- WaterBoy

I understand your point. But again, if he can give anywhere around 18+, it's pretty good coupled with the way he plays and the effort he gives night in and night out.

I fail to see what Gallagher and Higgins have in common...

Both future 35 goal scoring captains?

This makes your argument tenuous at best.

Eller shows some offensive flash and people think he can become a star. He is type casted to become a player like Sam Pahlsson. He played an important role on a Stanley Cup team and a good career.

My point is, Higgins scored 20+ goals three times, and so offense was expected from him for good reason.

That is why you take the first offer!

He does not want to be in Mtl anyways. Gone by the draft.

He played every PP. And he is now a 3rd line shutdown guy like he should have been in Mtl. Managing expectations.
