I'd like to See Bozie playing with Semin and Tlysty (there's a joke there if anyone wants to hit it out of the park ) and Staal lining up between JVR and Kessel. I bet Staal puts up better than .86ppg and Bozak is struggling to crack 30 pts. Tlusty scored 23 gaols in a shortened season playing with Staal, It's take him more than 2 full season to get 20 with Bozie.

I average 8 shots per Leafs game. Just to numb the pain.

just because bozak plays on the top line doesnt mean he gets defended like staal does.... if you guys think that you are majorly over-simplifying

I think you may be over complicating it

The problem is that people assume that when you add high scoring player X to a line with high scoring player Y, that both players production will automatically shoot into the stratosphere. In reality it would likely level out, or possibly get worse.

ex. look at Olympic teams...just because your lime mates are all of a sudden a much higher caliber...does not necessarily translate into increased stats for all involved.

I don't think that Kessela and JVR produce more with better C (realistically how much more can they get, especially kessel) but I think putting a better C with them that C would be able to get more pts than Bozak can/does. Bozak is just "there". He doesn't do anything productive ofensively, he doesn't do anything defensively, he doens't play a gritty physical style to wear you down.

He gets that shot through pretty well, but at the end of the year (Midway though the year) all he did was basically wire it into the forwards shins and then cause an odd man the other way or take a penalty to avoid said oddamn.
