listen, Staal's 52 seconds/game of PK time isn't even close to Bozak's epic 1:11/game of PK time.

Bozak had a better or equal year last year. Its pretty clear.

No ones arguing who has had a better career or who has been a more dominant player.

Dude. He score 5 more pts (pro rated to Staal's 79games this year) playing with Kessel. I do not think Staal had any better year than Bozak did. Their PPG over 82 games comes out to a 6 pts advantage to Bozak. Is that really impressive?? Staal was playing with (frank)ing Tlusty for (frank) sakes.

Staal made Tlusty a 23 goal scored (in 48 games). Bozak lives off Kessel and JVR. He's not making them better. He's just ridin coattails.

That's assuming you would have drafted Hamilton, know one knows for sure what draft position that pick would be or who would have been selected. But the guys who all went ahead of Hamilton are all very promising young players as well so I'd probably prefer Seguin and one of them myself. Hard to say the Leafs really got owned in that trade though since they got one of the better offensive players in the league back in that deal who's still only 26 now.

Drafting Sequin there would have been a no brainer. Your right we don't know for sure if the scouts would have suggested Hamilton or not, however it would have been a quality draft choice whoever it was.

I think the Leafs did get "owned" in that trade. Yes we got a good offensive player but Sequin himself will probably put up as many points as Kessel alone and then you add the other two pieces with him (Hamilton and Jarett) Doesn't help that Sequin is also a centre. Do you think they would trade Sequin plus a first and second round choice to us for Kessel ?

I believe Stall to be far more dynamic and has a far better chance at returning to superstar form, which bozak never has or will.

Wasn't a comparision of value(comparing money). Just straight who has played better. Comparing age+cap hit ect changes things a bit.

Agreed. I'd say that if Staal had better linemates (read, Kessel and JVR and Not Tlust and Semin) He would have had more than 61pts in 79 games.
