Ekblad, probably...Most NHL ready and seems to be the safest pick. I'd rather do both Schenns and the 17th pick to get TJ Brodie and the 4th pick, even if there's more moving parts.

The more you try to follow these draft eligible kids the more I realize how impossible it is. I've spent a lot of time this season watching CHL/College games and I've still only seen about a dozen of the top 30 and maybe 7 enough to make any kind of judgement.

I don't see how people can be so enamoured of a guy who's played in the US development program. How could you even see him play? From New Year until the playoffs started I just concentrated on the kids we drafted (I couldn't watch games in the Q if it was in French. OB has more patience with that than me). We're at 17 and I've seen maybe 3 or 4 kids at that pick and I'm not doing back flips over any of them.

I wish the NHL had a website like Draft Express does for the NBA. 15 minute video showing clips of players strengths and weaknesses. Gives all the regular numbers, fancy stat numbers and write-ups to put things into context.

There are probably more but two things from our area drive me nuts. The use of the term "dippy eggs" especially by a man and the use of with as in "Do you want to come with?"
