I think the point is that any good organization is going to have to make tough choices at some point
With all the 1st & 2nd round picks we have acquired all within a period of just a few years, those choices will eventually come for us too
Let's just hope this time the right choices are made
This happened to us a few years ago and cost us badly

Whether or not we sign Callahan, Kane, etc, etc, etc...

The #1LW position is via trade, gotta give to get. McCabe's value is high and getting higher but I don't know if he'll be as good as say Risto,Myers,Ekblad(which after drafting him gives them the flexibility to move a guy like McCabe).

He protects the puck, makes those button hooks and hits guys coming in late. He'll hold onto that puck until he sees the right play to make. He has a great wrist shot and good snap shot and can surprise a lot of goalies with it."

Which is basically what my fake lineup was. It's a worst case scenario where we don't get McDavid, Eichel, Barzal, Strome.
But at some point we're going to have to make a big trade and that's what that accounted for. The lineup I was responding to was for 2016-2017 (or at least that's how interpreted it). so that's why I didn't have Zacha (highly touted 1st rounder next year) playing on the 1st line because i don't think he'd be ready yet coming over from europe.
