Does it make sense for the Flyers? I think so. It leaves us lacking on the LW somewhat(Hartnell, Raffl, Akeson would be my top 3 LWs) but sliding Jones into our D core puts all the other D men in better positions to excel.

I think it's just too steep. Patience is needed.

For some reason, I like the idea of pairing Stralman with Streit. I think they would compliment each other really well. I think the 5 on 5 scoring can improve with minimal changes to the forwards, if they can find d-men who are better puck handlers that can do more then simply chip it off the glass and hope the forward can catch up to the puck.

I'm watching the Chicago-LA series, which is great Hockey. And even though both teams have some very good and talented defenseman, I still see forwards coming back deep, and short high percentage passes being made, to exit out of the zone. And both teams moving up and down the ice as 5 man units. With puck support all over the ice. That's where the Flyers have to improve. Make it an easier pass for the defenseman. Especially when you have some defenseman without great puck skills.

I think some people are taking his words to literal. Yes I fully believe he wants to draft properly, stock picks, and raise our "own" talent, but he also realizes he MUST improve team for next season. There for i believe we will see some crafty moves , but not really any jaw dropping homer style type of stuff. Then again it's the flyers and Ed is still the owner sooooo anything goes.

I agree, and I said that earlier. All he talked about was the pros and cons of certain moves. And not that he was not willing to make moves and use all the tools available to form the team.

So who do we want to win tonight? Obviously I want the team that has best chance to deny rags the cup. I feel that may be the kings. Another thing is the rags haven't really had that bad of a travel schedule. That west coast trek may affect them if it's a long series.

how deep? 1m? 750?
- hammarby31

$1mm or so is workable. They can't pay him what they did last year with the needs they have, unless they can free up cap room

Steep, but if Schenn is demanding too much it makes sense to move him. Morin I would hate to move but I think his timeline to the develop just doesn't match this teams needs.

Just throwing it out there though. We all know when Richards and Carter face the Rags in the SCF and Uncle Eddie has a cancer scare poop is going to hit the fan this offseason.

LOL.

Schenn's contract situation is certainly going to be interesting to watch. I really hope Snyder let's Hextall do this the right way, but it's a long shot.

im hyped for Noel

i just think Embiid is gonna be special

- Crimsoninja

I think Embiid will be so good. In 5 years we'll be saying Embiid and Anthony Davis are the elite big men.

Noel is extremely raw. I'm not sure if he'll ever develop an offensive game. I think he'll be a little more offensively gifted than DeAndre Jordan, but have the same kind of impact on defense.

I'm really not sure how much leverage Schenn has in negotiations. I look at the negotiations with Pietrangelo and Subban whose negotiations lasted well into the summer and there was no offer sheet given for either player. I believe he gets signed to a deal more to the liking of the Flyers. Ryan O'Reilly was a more established player in the league and he was offer sheeted $5 million/yr. I don't see another team as daring towards Schenn at this point of his career. Don't get me wrong, I like Schenn and think he needs to remain part of the core.

What a smart play to bank it off quicks leg, heads up move there. Unless he was trying to center a pass, then he really made it look like he intended to bank it.
