Mock guess for the draft.

Who seems like the typical Flyers first round choice for the 17th spot? My guess is a forward forsure. We're definitely weak at forwards in prospects. he doesn't necessarily have to be a giant but if he is tall it doesn't necessarily mean they have to be physical. Simon Gagne, Justin Williams, Jeff Carter, Mike Richards, Steve Downie, Claude Giroux, Luca Sbisa, Sean Couturier, Scott Laughton and Samuel Morin. I would go for a winger myself.

Also being in Philly and know the Flyers history for making a splash at the draft, so you think the Flyers push hard for a splash. Pronger, JvR for Schenn, Streit, Bryzgalov, Timonen and Hartnell, Carter and Richards were all nearing draft deals. Or do you feel Hextall will be less flashy? Keep in mind Hextall was on the other end of trading for Mike Richards.

On TSN, main story was Raonic and Bouchard was the second story. 1 set into the Raonic match, Bouchard is the main story and Raonic is nowhere to be found except as a footnote.

I know it's been talked about and debated, but I just love how fickle they are with showing how great Canadians are depending on who's doing best at the moment.

It's TSN. If a Canadian was 32-0 at at the World Domino Championship, it'd be top story.

Edit: Since he's still playing, he's back on top of the page. TSN tends to do that semi-real-time switch back and forth.

Doesn't ring a bell. I played for Echelon Express from about...maybe 95-99 and the the short lived Mega Sports from 99-00. We played Junior Olympic and were #1 ranked in the nation when I played as a 14-year-old in 15-16, but we weren't able to get to Iowa, and Kendall Park, who we routinely crushed, won gold.

I know, but some of it's just silly. During baseball preseason, they're always running all these stories about the Blue Jays. I don't think anyone in Canada even cares about them over the past 2 decades.

Since that 'big' trade, there's been renewed interest in the team.

Keep in mind that TSN is based in Toronto, so you'll get some Toronto-centric reporting, esp. with the Jays being the only baseball team in the country(and Raptors with basketball).

I'm hoping for less flashy. Would be happy if they trade back a little and collect picks for next year.

I think the Flyers are going to use their pick.

I would NOT be surprised to see a trade, but I doubt the trade would be of their 1st round pick this year.

And as the Flyers have been pretty good at picking forwards in the 1st round, I'd be fine with that, but I'd settle for BPA, because the cupboard has been bare for so long, with respect to prospects.

Not saying I wouldn't. Cute, petite, tight little body, but damn she's annoying when she talks.

It seems like there's a drop-off and plateau after maybe 12, so I'd be fine if they traded back a few spots and added other picks/prospects/players.

i have a major issue with people who get their jobs based virtually entirely on how they look.

its one of my main issues with society.

i mean i guess its not technically their fault. but i usually have little respect for them.
