Her delco accent is horrifying... and the hair? wtf. - ThirdEye
That is FAAARRR from a Delco accent. A Delco accent is far worse (I grew up there). I'm almost sure she is a Montco girl, anyway. |

On TSN, main story was Raonic and Bouchard was the second story. 1 set into the Raonic match, Bouchard is the main story and Raonic is nowhere to be found except as a footnote.
I know it's been talked about and debated, but I just love how fickle they are with showing how great Canadians are depending on who's doing best at the moment. |

We made it to the semi finals my sophomore year with, when everyone was there, a 9 skater 1 goalie team.
One night we beat the best team in the league with 6 and a goalie.
That was nuts. The one kid on the bench either laying down, or squirting water for the fly by water swig during the play. It was crazy. - Giroux_Is_God
it's very tough to pull that off. my A team did on wednesday night. we only had 8 skaters. lost 1 skater during the game due to penalties, and had 2 guys in the box for the final 2:30 minutes clinging to a 1 goal lead. somehow we defended the 6 on 3 and won the game. i felt like gumby and literally cramped up under my ribs in the final minute. that has never happened to me in over 30 years of playing goal. championship is next week. if we lose that, i'll be pissed. i hate the other team. |

I, too, could not get tickets. Not even the great Raptor Jesus can penetrate the Flyers' ticket office. |

My only experience from Delco is Chester, and it's definitely not a Chester accent. |

Where do you play? All we have in my area is like recreational men's leagues. You seem like you're still playing at a pretty high level. |

Chester wasn't bad if you a) stay within 2 blocks of Widener and b) leave before dark. |

i play in the hockey hotbed of santa fe, new mexico. i moved here in february from the philly area.
it's just a local men's league like anywhere else, but there are a surprising number of good players here. and an equal amount of average to poopty ones.

I hate Chester. Lost twice in a row to them in the District Championship Game.
Their coach is like 400lbs and doesn't move. I don't know how they were even coached. |

I only live a mile or so outside of Chester. The widener side of chester is nothing. When you cross under 95 thats when you got to worry. Ive walked through the widener areas at like 3 in the morning. Its like being at another teams arena, as long you arent acting like a wienerhead no one will bother you. |

Is it at least an A-level league, or do they not have divisions? |

I don't know about the bad father part. He usually wore sweats. What else would fit him?
He definitely recruited kids to play at that high school. Their entire starting lineup got D1 Scholarships. |

One time i was walking through and I was a little nervous because I was by myself and this really fat black lady started waving at me so I nervously waved back. I then got propositioned by a hooker. I just nervously ran away, it was very awkward lol. |

Everyone seems to like Rasmussen. If he were in the current draft, where would he get selected based on is talent now? |

That could have been a sort of welcome wagon. Like, a greeting from the local chamber of commerce? |

On the way home from a doctor's appointment I was listening to NHL radio.
They were saying the Habs offered Markov 6M for 1 year, should look to trade Tokarski to San Jose with Price in the system and Furcale on the way up, should explore trading Max Pac in a package for Evander Kane, thought they would bring Gionta back at a discount, and would likely offer Weaver a 1yr deal for a modest raise. And that Subban would get 8.5M.
All here-say at this point.
That sound crazy to you? |

Let's try to break this down:
1. Markov 6M for 1 year - seems a bit high, but only for 1 year, so not insane
2. look to trade Tokarski to San Jose with Price in the system and Furcale on the way up - not sure Tokarski's value has gone up much due to 1 series. I'd keep him as the backup and let Fucale play in the AHL and explore it later
3. explore trading Max Pac in a package for Evander Kane - If they can, not insane, but I don't think they should offer much more
4. bring Gionta back at a discount - he's never impressed me
5. offer Weaver a 1yr deal for a modest raise - if he'll go for it, absolutely
6. Subban would get 8.5M - that's a minimum, for max. length |
