i do, including my parents, but not sure how many are really interested in going. i dont have many close friends that match my intensity for the Flyers and all things hockey. esp since i might take half day or more off (coming from Marietta) to get down to philly early before traffic and hang out and what not.

so like i said it depends.

my b team got knocked out of the playoffs last night - a series of events set this in motion last week - which essentially boiled down to us having only 6 skaters, 2 of whom hadn't played in over a month due to injuries they were both still nursing, and we were without our best scorer due to a nonsensical suspension. i played well. we lost. i normally would have been fuming last night. i wasn't. i'm not today. i don't care. i'm comfortably numb.

i'm probably lying to myself.

During the first period, they put this bimbo Sigourney on the Jumbo Tron. She's at XFinity Live (or taped there) with 2 people she gives free tix to, so they can go watch the game in person. They did a better job of turning down the gain on her voice, but it's still an eardrum-piercing screech.

"we're at the AT&T Pavilion having a blaaaaaaaast! come on down and blah blah blah...." it was torture. even my wife wanted to pummel her.

We made it to the semi finals my sophomore year with, when everyone was there, a 9 skater 1 goalie team.

One night we beat the best team in the league with 6 and a goalie.

That was nuts. The one kid on the bench either laying down, or squirting water for the fly by water swig during the play. It was crazy.
