I hope it's someone with a lot of money who just wants to win the Stanley friggin Cup
- eayost

This may be leight, but doesn't Comcast own a majority of the Flyers? If so, I'm pretty sure they will be in charge of who runs the franchise following Snider.

How much (if at all) has this playoff season hurt Vanek's potential UFA offers?

The same can be said for ANY player. If the player avoids injury and you surround him with players who compliment his skills, he will maximize his potential. It's just too much to do for one player who isn't even that good. It's much easier to move him than look for all the pieces to make him all he can be.
- PhillySportsGuy

I don't disagree that the Flyers probably shouldn't rearrange their team to accomodate a 34 year old player. That is a reasonable thought. But the same refrain is there, that discounts the injury and position change as a big part of why Lecavalier has a rough season overall. And I think you underrate Lecavalier as a player, if he in the right spot and is healthy.

If you consider 5G/3A in 11 games (4 of those goals were in 2 separate 2-goal games) good for a top-line winger good, then yes.

I thought he played well last night. I'd be hesitant to give him a monster deal though.

Fair enough. I didn't know his numbers, and was hesitant to spill my Cheerios looking them up.

I knew that.
I'm a little sore that the Rags are in the Finals this morning.

I'm not sure if he's ready. I hope so, I have hopes of him being a solid addition to the team this year.
