At least he won't get to do that if the Rangers win - PhillySportsGuy
He will, just like the coaches/healthy scratches do. |

i wouldnt move MDZ for vinny if i was Nash. MDZ for hartnell maybe. - stayinthefnnet
MDZ was moved for Kevin Klein. Not a big haul. He is and RFA and didn't really play for them. They just signed some Swede who was a standout in the Swedish Elite League |

according to some, the 4th line is irrelevant and is never the reason a team wins or loses a game. yeah, well, the 4th line was a big reason why the rangers beat the flyers, and it scored the only goal in an elimination game to put them in the SCF.
the 4th line matters. - hammarby31
Raffl Laughton would be a good start to the 4th line.
But then they need to find a winger to replace Raffl in the top nine, and maybe the Swedish free agent will sign here and play on the 4th line.
I like the idea of Winnick for the 3rd line left wing, in the spot Downie had. Decent size and can skate and grind. I think he would compliment Read and Couts. Probably could sign him for 2-2.5 range.

I know. its more me hoping since Lavy wanted him here he wants him still. Plus thinking Vinny wants to play in a system he singed to play in. |

they are not beating LA or Chicago. They might make it a series but thats it.
*Disclaimer: This statement is void if kreider runs quick - PhillaBully
Unlike Montreal, LA has a host of players that would be more than up to running Lundqvist in retaliation, starting with Dustin Brown, one of the best hitters in the game. |

That's why I would want Komarov. Can sign for 2mil, is younger then Winnik and has skill and grit and can skate. But i do like Winnik too |

He'll stand by the right circle and wait for one timers. He'll be the Ovechkin of the west. |

1. You can give him a longer deal and a chance for more minutes. Kind of what the Flyers did to Mason.
2. Brayden is an RFA so the Flyers have leverage.
3. Raymond made 1 million last year and Komarov will need to be in the 2 range. If no Komorav I would still look at Kulemin too. - J35Bacher
1. He's not Mason, though. MDZ is coming off one poor statistical year. Mason was a complete dumpster fire for 4 years running. He's coming off a bitterly-negotiated bridge deal... his agent's not going to let him sign a long-term, low-salary deal.
2. I'm sure they'll use that leverage, but expecting him to sign the same deal that Couturier did coming off a 4-goal, 15-point showing is more than a bit unrealistic. Schenn scored 20-goals... goals = $.
3. I'd rather them look elsewhere, or look from within, than spend $4.5M on a couple of non-difference makers. Komarov is a nice player, but only at ~$1M. |

If they did away w/ offsides, he could be an Art Ross candidate again. When the puck goes the other way, they can push a rocking chair to him on the ice so he can catch his breath. He'd never have to leave that circle. |

If they can't move VL next year which is a real possibility, I wonder where he will play in the line up?
It's a head scratcher to me. |

Lavi took part in recruiting Vinny... doesn't necessarily mean Lavi is in love with the player... he could have just been doing his job to sell the team to a UFA his boss wanted. |

Raymond had 19 goals and 45 points last season. Also good on shootouts which we are not. Hartnell had 20 goals and 52 points playing top line minutes. I'd say Raymond would be a good deal. And he can move up and down the lineup.
Komarov made 1.7 with TO so he is expecting to make at least 2mil.
I wouldn't call them non-difference makers. They are players that give you soomething you need at a decent price.

it's too bad that raffl doesn't have much ability to finish, and for tht reason i can see him down on that line. still i'd like to see him have opportunity on scoring lines. at least for awhile.
i have no clue what laughton will bring as a player, but it seems like he's going to be relegated to 3/4th lines. |

Possibly. But when you look at things hey make sens Nashvile needs scoring. Lavy runs a system Vinny likes. If he is not getting to play center and getting minutes he wants here i am sure he would waive them or a better chance to play which nasvhille could give him. |

VL is a negative asset for a team to have on their roster. MDZ is not PK Subban, but he has at least some value. Same with Kevin Klein. Both just young D projects. Nothing more, but nothing less either.
And that type of asset has some value still. What did Runblad fetch, and he has supposedly fallen much out of favor. Im not certain but I believe a second?
Vinny is not worth a second to be rid of. |

if raffl could finish, he would be awesome. have to love everything else the guy brings. same with brian gibbons. guy routinely got a short handed breakaway on each PP, but had literally no clue what to do with it.
gotta hook them up with some sort of hands/sniping training |
