After my softball game tonight I was listening to the score....it was after 10pm and the late night host had a "hockey expert".....barstool anthem or indian or something.....and he was all about Sharp playing great without the puck and making plays to create chances.....and all I thought was.....well there's the reason you're on after 10pm on a Thursday.......no phucking clue.....

Hossa not scoring...doing everything else well.

If turning over the puck and shooting his weak ass wrister into the crest is doing everything else well, then yes he is. Hossa gets to play with Toews. Sharp has had to play with Versteeg and Handzus.
But I get it. You pick some guys to dislike. Try Leddy. Its valid cause he sucks. A lot.

Sharp was killing the offense from Toews's line when he was on it. Hoss wasn't and isn't, though one would hope that he could be better offensively.

Both need to start scoring some damn goals. But I'll be on Sharp for a lot more than that in the mean time. He definitely looks awful in every facet of the game that he usually does well in.

Crappy shooting, crappy board-work, crappy passing, crappy decision-making, the list goes on. And not all of that is a factor of playing hurt IMO. Though I'm just playing the role of Cap'n Obvious here...

So one game with Versteeg and Handzus is the reason Sharp has done Richard this entire calendar year? He had every opportunity to play with Toews, Kane and Hossa, and he still did squat. The next time I see Sharp pick someone's pocket at the blue line, single handedly maintain possession for 20+ seconds, and create a legit scoring opportunity maybe I'll lay off a bit. The only thing Sharp has done consistently this whole post season is to repeatedly try that predictable dump in off the wall/try to pass it to himself move that never works and inevitably results in him getting rubbed off the play, and the other team easily regaining possession.

WTF is there to negotiate? ECL's are pretty narrow in scope; not a lot to negotiate, other than some bonuses that are very difficult to hit. Either sign the deal or say you're not going to....
