Eddie O., is on NHL Live on NHLNet right now. When asked about Saad last night, he said it was the best playoff game by a Hawk in the past five years. He was asked to repeat it after a commercial break, and he repeated his statement. I watched the replay today and Saad was indeed unreal last night.

Sounds like Harrelson.

I think it's a standard in NA to follow every moment of the game. And it's much better than bullpoop talk about anything except actual play. Russian language is much harder to use like this though. I always prefer NA broadcasts. But between the plays analysis can be annoying definitely.

I wish the dopes that called the game last night spoke Russian on the broadcast so I wouldn't have understood their drivel (nod to the new Ref ).

Saad was an absolute beast last night, hopefully he motivated some of the other guys to step up.

I wish you could mute individual commentators (though all of 'em were bad last night).

I'd never hear another word from Brian Engblom ever again.

It's REALLY called - when a team knows the refs won't call it....

One of the LA posters, earlier today, said that one of Sutter's tactics is to take out the wing on the weak side at the blue line.

If, by take out, he meant some physical action, wouldn't that be blatantly illegal - be interference by definition - on the weak side?

- StLBravesFan

I said that in response to your question of legal or illegal. (I'm not an LA poster by the way). And I said physically. And yep that's blatantly illegal. But only if the refs make the call.

It was said here that Morin is worse than anybody in the lineup defensively. I think it's impossible to be worse than 23. Would like to see Regin too. He actually was good in the dot last time he played and made some hits in every game despite not being a heavy hitter.
And boy oh boy was that crowd really loud as phuck! First time i heard it like this through TV screen

Hello 66, how's it going? Exciting OT last night, eh? What are your thoughts about game six? Sorry if you posted that earlier and I missed it.

Joe Micheletti is (frank)ing BRUTAL

I lived in NY for 9 years and its such an odd couple in the booth there. Sam Rosen is the best in the business for my money. Calls it both ways and is fantastic to listen to. Joe Micheletti is a huge homer on top of being a moron.

During Derek Stepans rookie year, he called him one of the greatest players in the history of USA Hockey

- FourFeathers773

Hmm I like Stepan but...Chelios, Roenick etc....Nope

>I keep noticing Hawk players having to stop, reach down, and pick up their sticks during play -- courtesy of the King woodchopping crew
>It's a Sutter/Babcock tradition -- if you do it all game, every shift, refs won't call it
>Kings are slashing sticks out of Hawk players' hands well before the Hawk player arrives at the puck
>Two big adjustments for Hawks without the puck -- play like you have it -- cuz you are gonna get hit and chopped even though you do not have it -- and keep moving with emphasis on using your body to protect your hands

- SnapitUpstairs

noticed it also - kings very active with sticks - many questionable trips - hawk players usually jump right back up.

Many might hate Rosenbloom, but he's right in his article today about Bollig

http://www.chicagotribune...20140529,0,2381098.column

EXCERPT

"Brandon Bollig played 8:20 and still managed to finish with a minus-2 and a team-worst Corsi For of 18.2 percent. How do those minutes not go to someone who’s a threat to score? Or even a threat to forecheck with speed? Does Joel Quenneville hate Peter Regin, Joakim Nordstrom and Jeremy Morin so much that he taunts them with Bollig’s ice time?"

- philco28

He loves Bollig and doesn't trust the others.

When was he last seen? Was he in some sort of dispute (which would be pretty damn shocking)?

Hawks have younger players who could be better at knowing how officials call a game.

Slashing hasn't been called...Holding the stick was let go a few times last night and then Hammer had a stick in his hand and instead of dropping it he threw it about 20 feet away.

Big difference last night is Kane hit the blueline with speed and so did his line mates. When they had to they took pucks off the wall and played N/S so they had it all going.

Kane at some point needs help and he finally got it.....Still the best playmaker in the NHL and scares dmen more than anyone but can't always do it alone against the best teams.
