You could see anybody going to the Leafs. Stammer, Tavares, Kane, Crosby, Malkin... all of them are going to the Leafs.
- Jebus_Price

For Dion? No way. Gardiner and Khadri maybe.

Interesting to see Boston looking to add a young superstar forward, drafted in the top-5 a couple years ago... WHY DID THEY DUMP SEGUIN??

Will the Habs be in on these Kane rumours once they're done with the playoffs?

Are the Habs a sports team? Then yes, they will be involved in Kaner rumors at some point (e7).

This is really interesting. I still think it'll end up costing Chiarelli his job, but I understand what they were all saying about how his finesse style doesn't fit with the brand of hockey they want.

That said, they got a lot older and slower after the Seguin trade.

Reilly Smith and Matt Fraser are good young players from that trade, I think they did a lot better than other people think bc they just focus on Eriksson. Seguin is still the best player in that trade and will excel in Dallas. But they got youth and grit from those 2 forwards, and if they get Joe Morrow to turn into a NHL Dman, its not that bad

And Seguin had a hell of a year in Dallas. Eriksson is a fine player, but I don't know if he fits in Boston so great either. Smith and Fraser are decent prospects. Seguin was the 2nd over all pick though. Seems like they coulda got more for him.

Pretty cool show though. Always enjoy getting the "inside" look like that.

Most people had never head of Smith or Fraser before that trade. Smith is a 3rd round pick and Fraser was never even drafted. Boston model.

Kane is a young kid who's dream was
was not to play in Winnipeg , go figure.problem is everyone knows it and the jets still want value.i think buffalo is likely offering up stafford, Ennis and a pick, likely second. If boston is dangling Marchand it's probably only with a first and a conditional our possibly Carron .i agree with a previous poster about Chicago, the hawks will need a centre back as well unless they are thinking they have an F.A in the bag.possibly Bolland again.on with case Smith, shaw, and maybe leddy with a pick going back to chi town might go

Boston did a great job of getting value out of that trade.no denying Seguins talent , but they saw heart issues and decided to stay in the mold.mind boggling how they didn't take the habs

I was one of them, all I knew was Morrow bc of the Pens trade with Dallas months earlier. But I thought Smith was a heck of a player for the Bruins this season, sort of came out of nowhere and was impressive. End of the day they got some good pieces and felt that they balanced out their roster. Lost some star power but who knows could help the team out long term with filling holes and cap relief

I can see anyone with a french sounding name (doesnt even matter if they were born in ontario) going to the habs.

Giroux, Lecavalier, Parenteau, Pominville, St.Louis, could be anyone!

Kane to Penguins for Brandon Sutter and Olli Maata. Crosby and Malkin get their big time winger. Jets get a solid two way Center and up and coming defensemen.

... But if there is one team to keep an eye on it is Columbus they have the assets and Kane would be a force in that young line up.

I think we will see some huge trades before the draft.

- spatso

Please step away from the keyboard and take a moment to calm your mind. The only time I want to see Mr. Kane in Columbus is once a year when Winnipeg shows up for a road game, and leaves right after they play.

Talk of trading Kaner is dumb and will go no where. 99 goals and 200 points at age 22 while largely playing with plugs for line mates until recently. Signed for 5 more years at a reasonable cap friendly rate. He is stupid fast and finally had 2 line mates who could keep up with him in Wheels and Snipe-Lee. This talk always originates with racist sportswriters (shades of PK, sound familiar?) Besides Chevy is way too cautious to make any trades, never mind a yet to peak youngster.
