So you blame him Not taking Chris Kreider on the habs Player development?? Oh, really lol. - jillann
I think Timmins wanted Kreider, but Gainey wanted Leblanc since the draft was in Montreal. Timmins is sold for the US program. |

In all fairness the Leblanc draft was a political one, I don't think it has a lot to do with where Timmins had him, nor did he have much of a say in it.
And I didn't say that there aren't players he's drafted who haven't turned out. The majority of prospects, even from the 1st round don't pan out. You can go to any team in the league and comprise a list of players that should have you calling from the amateur scouting to be fired. |

He is a project. We will see how he does in the NHL. - ShafterBenRaide
Yeah, He's a project, Have you seen what the Projects look like lately?? More like "Suspects"..You dont make trades and sign boat loads of other teams Rejects..Bourque, Gionta, Prust, Moen Briere Parros etc because your scouting director is doing a great job, fool. |

Agreed. I just don't think it reflects poorly on Timmins ability as a scout, it was just a poop setup. |

I think it's more delusional to think that the fact Leblanc was a french speaking home town kid wasn't the reason he was picked over others in the same range. |

Let's look at the current Habs roster...And ask yourselves, How many teams would Really ask about Anyone on their team besides, Price, Subban, Pacioretty, Gallagher, Galchenyuk, Eller (being nice there)..and maybe Beaulieu... After that, look at how many players are left that No team would really want.. |

Well, if That is true, that means during almost Every draft, shouldnt the Canadiens have picked the best player left from Quebec when it's our turn to select, and then ask yourselves why we Didnt select Brule the year we took Price?? Based on Your logic, that shoulda happened.. |

Because Timmins thought Price was the better choice?
I feel very confident in guessing that Timmins had 0 say in whether Leblanc was taken or not |
