I don't think we ever would have had both. I'd rather have Subban, despite how good McDonagh is, and they would have traded one of those two chips for help elsewhere before they were the players they are now.

It just sucks so so much that it was for Gomez.

At least we got to cheer for Gomez's one year without a goal ceremony.

Also, you didn't release the apes last game...
- pete26

I didn't release them the game before either, or the game before that. You accepted BLs whore apes and you'll have to live with that.

It's worse when you know the trade was bad from day 1. It's not like he came out of nowhere and surprised the whole league.

maybe not out of training camp, but maybe later as a call-up.

Clearly was one the lone bright lights in that Bulldogs team...not saying much, I know, but still.

Reminds me of Gallagher a bit, faster skater already and not afraid to go in traffic.

McDonagh is good, but he does not carry his team on his shoulders like Subban has too. McDonagh is part of a great defensive squad.

I want to make one point but before I do I want to congratulate Montreal on an awesome series and amazing playoff run. A lot to be excited about in the future with the great young players on that team.

The point I want to make is, I think tokarski did you all a favor with the way he played. He was outstanding. He lost 1-0 to one of if not the best goalie in the world. And it wasn't just tonight. He was amazing since he got the call. What im trying to sayis, he played so well, that you don't have to keep saying to yourselves " what if we had Price?" Over and over again all summer.

Awesome series.

And that is the 2nd point, after the top 4 dman, we were saying last year at this time. They need to get bigger. Gionta is gone, let see if they can trade Briere. Slowly but surely...

Disagree, I think he thrives under duress and long minutes. i agree with the previous point that his partners are sometimes left in his wake.
- CH1909-2009

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE him. I'd love him to be a Flyer but I really hope he is always a Hab. It just feels right.

What Rangers exposed was a lack of depth on the right side of the blue line.
I think there are many options open to Bergevin in order to settle this with none of them being very easy. Some of the guys that could easily be shopped to address this include Plekanec, Bourque, Briere, Prust, Pateryn.

I also believe we've seen the last of Gionta, Bouillon, Moen, Budaj, Murray.

Will be a very interesting summer since many frets reduced roles and implications through this playoff run and now they are essentially stuck with too many bodies.

Dominated the Q. Not saying much, but Gallager didn't dominate in the AHL when he was their either. Not much talent on the bulldogs, hard to play alone.

Except for a couple of defensemen, Timmins hasnt exactly stockpiled any foward help in Hamilton..To think we Had McDonagh and Kreider was right there for the taking, kinda like when Getzlaf and Perry fell and TT took Kostitsyn..
