You'll be calling for lottery picks if they lose their first game. - gforce
Unless Price goes down for the season the habs will finish higher than Boston. |

Agreed but Vanek is more than likely gone, I hope we don't resign Gionta and Galch needs to play C.
So really the only move is trading plek - braidan
I would trade Gorges. Time to give ice time to Beaulieu, Tinordi and Peteryn. Gorges is getting older and his value will only get down the longer we keep him. |

McCarron is going to be 3rd line or 4th line. Not much offensive skills. DLR if he develops well, might become a second line winger, but looks more like a 3rd line.
Then we have Andrighetto, Reway, Hudon, Lehkonen. All under 5"10. - ShafterBenRaide
Why would you move a 6'2 200 pound center to the wing? |

I love Plek. He played well against Boston too. I would go so far as to say I'm not sure we would have beat Boston without him. He is one of the best PK players in the league. Yes he ran out of gas against NY but so did 90% of the team. I think unless you get younger and bigger for Plek, while replacing his FO% and PK minutes, which seems pretty impossible, you can't trade him. - CH1909-2009
You make lots of sense and I'm a huge fan of PLeks, but do you agree that Galch has to start playing C? If Galch can stay on the wing then I have no problem with not trading pleks.
And i'm not blowing up this team, just looking ahead to next year already lol |

Markov needs to be a 5-6. Like his smarts and dishing but those minutes are WAY too much at his age. |

8M to Subban
5M to Markov
Moen's $1.8M to Weise
1M to Weaver
3.25M to Eller
And with Brière's contract off the books next year and the cap going up they'll have the space to sign Gallagher and Galchenyuk. |

I haven't really seen the big deal with Glach so far. Don't get me wrong, I like his potential, but is he ready to be a go-to guy in October? That seems soon. |

Dany Dubé was talking about PK, and that it was time to find him a partner that can follow him and log in the same kind of minutes he does...not easy to find, but Bergevin needs to address this |

Can you keep a 5-6 th D man at 5.5 or 6 mil a year like he wants? If he is willing to take less and play less, then no problem. |

I think he's very close. But I don't see the urge to make him play center, especially if Vanek does not return. |

Give Tinordi a shot a training camp?
And Emelin needs to go back playing on the left. |
