Great playoffs from him. Best C for MTL easily. - Pie
I would have agreed with Shafterbenraide last year. He indeed struggled a lot against Ottawa, and I was inclined to say that he couldn't be effective in the playoffs due to his size.
But he proved he could do it. Was the best Habs forward in game 7 against Boston. His 3.25M contract is looking good.
I have some friends living in Chicoutimi who are following the Saguenéens. They were telling me that he was also beginning the season slowly, but would get better as the season went on and peak during the playoffs. I don't care if he sucks for the first 20 games next year if he still gets 50 points in the last 60 games. |

With them gone, We have Pacioretty-Galchenyuk-Gallagher next year as first line.
Time to give Galchenyuk a lot more ice time. And even if we suck, we have McDavid waiting at the draft
We need to move forward with our rookies. I like for example how Columbus is improving. Their best players are all around 20 yrs old. And they will be adding Rychel this year. We need to start doing the same and built a contender. Bigger, faster and younger. - ShafterBenRaide
so 30th? We get McDavid

Yea, you dont build a contender from 2 wins from the final by trading away your entire core.
Beaulieu, Tinordi, PK, Pacioretty, Gallagher, Galchenyuk, Emelin, Price, Tokarski, are all still developing and will continue to improve. They will all be with the team next year (except maybe tokarski). Gionta, Vanek, Murray, Bouillon are all gone. Weaver probably gone. |

So a goal better?, ok.
News flash:
The forwards didn't score a god damn goal tonight Scott.
They lost 1-0 hardly Dustin's fault.
So Price keeps it 0-0?
They gonna play until......the Rangers finally score? - pete26
Montreal needs more guys like Gallagher. Need to crash the net. Pacioretty is just a floater that waits for a perfect pass so he can have a one timer. |

It's coming. They've put together a great stockpile of prospects in my opinion, but you have to transition from one generation to the next over the course of several seasons and as positions/prospects are ready. |

Galchenyuk a poopty winger? Time for Plek to be traded and get us some young guy in return. Bergevin has made some good trades, lets see what he can do this summer. - ShafterBenRaide
yea, the 3 games he had with galchenyuk are way more important than the 10 with gionta and however many poopty games of Vanek |
