Whoever comes out of the West would have steamrolled either of these teams...

LA-NY is the dream final for the NHL

- muffin_man

That's what everyone said about whoever comes out of Pitt-NY vs. Mtl or Boston. And it was BULLpoop

Probably not
But it makes you realize that finding a goalie is not as difficult as finding a big #1 center...

- fidopro

Teams don't need an elite goalie at 6-7M per year. They just need a decent goalie who'll get hot at the right time.

Price is great, I'm not saying otherwise, but even 9 years later I'd still take a center like Kopitar over him.

I'd like to see for next year.

Moen: gone
Gorges: gone
Markov: gone, to slow and old.
Gionta: gone
Vanek: gone, useless.
Plekanec: Gone, has good value and we need to get bigger.
Bouillon: Gone or as 7th D man.
Desharnais: Gone, hardest working habs center in the playoffs but his small size was evident in the playoffs.
Murray: Gone, to slow.

We need to make changes. Even if the habs would of make the stanley cup final, they would of lost in 4 against L.A or Chicago. It's time we make this team bigger. We need to be able to compete against teams like L.A., Chicago, St-Louis, Anaheim, San Jose, Colorado.

He would have been a goal better in most of the games imo. Toker played very well but not price like
- habs12

So a goal better?, ok.

News flash:

The forwards didn't score a god damn goal tonight Scott.

They lost 1-0 hardly Dustin's fault.

So Price keeps it 0-0?

They gonna play until......the Rangers finally score?

Its interesting that TBs forecheck was fast and Price helped nullify it. His stik handling helped kill the Bs too. Tokarski was fine but scrambly as (frank) big rebounds everywhere and D's heads were on a swivel. if you think Rags didn't key in on that man I don't know. I think Price would have made a difference in the matching of the game but meh watchoogonnado

That'll be slim to none. Lots of stuff needs to fall into place.

I'm guessing something like a 5th rounder Maybe a conditional 3rd if the other team signs him. Not hoping for anything more.

Only way NYR even makes it to a game 7 in the SCF would be with Lundqvist standing on his head.

I agree with everything except Pleks and DD. We'll never replace them in a trade. Have to wait for prospects to develop before you ship them out.

Responded in a PM cause I didn't want to start a sh1tting war on your guys' thread, especially tonight. Had no idea if you were joking or serious or just generally pissed.

I actually can't think of a game where Briere sucked. There were times he wasn't amazing, but he played hard and well all playoffs.
- ehabs9

He made some errors defensively that cost the habs some goals. But with his limited ice time, he scored some huge goals.

Plek is one of the more underrated players in the league... not sure why you would want him gone.

DD is small, but worth keeping; if he was 1 or 1 of 2 small guys its not a problem. He played extremely well when Pac and Vanek were on his wings and their bodies cleared space and time for him. He is a solid #2 center and an OK #1 with the right wingers.

The rest I agree could go and others could fill their roles easily.
