They do. He wasn't playing in the CHL when he was drafted...so they can do like the Devils did with Matteau, and have him play with their farm team at 19.
- stinger67

Matteau also got kicked off his team.

He sucks.
- Pecafan Fan

Not sure I'd go that far, but he seems to have regressed since the eye injury.

and yet if Galchenyuk, Bournival and Gallagher were there we'd be talking about how much forward depth the organization has. perspective, Marty, perspective. those are three guys 21 and under. most guys are in the AHL at their age.
- DoubleDown

1 out of 3 right.

That's pretty good for you.

Mind boggling to see no forward depth at all.

And yet Timmins is a God !

- WaterBoy

The best forwards he drafted are already with the team at 20-21-22 years old.

The Habs didn't had a 2nd and 3rd round draft pick in both 2010 and 2011, that didn't helped either.

I don't see having AHL farm team success being a guarantee that it will translate into NHL success. Sometimes, it just means your team is filled with great AHL players.

I know, but the option is still there for the Habs.

That being said, I think he goes back to London.

Well he can't even score in the OHL so why even expose him to the AHL at this stage.

Would give them a chance to handle his development themselves.

With that in mind, they probably think he's in good hands with the Hunters

Should be lots of ice time for him, Rupert bros are gone, Anderson, Smith, Tierney. Domi and Horvat might make the NHL too.

He could score, it's just that London was so stacked that Hunter could bench 1st rounders if they were not producing every game. On most OHL teams he would have played top6 minutes
