Don't venture into the Leafs thread. He isn't good enough for the team.

You need to think about the future. How can you trade a potential top-2 defenseman in Gardiner + anything for an old busted slow choke artist? The leafs already have the best first line in hockey, don't fix what ain't broke.

I'm in the 0.7% of Habs fans who would trade for Joe Thornton
- Not_Yan

Make that to 0.8 now.

Kevin Bieksa is a right handed D that was rumored to be shopped.

If the Nucks trade Kesler, could Plek be an option for them ? If so... Plek for Bieksa ( and whatever picks prospect to make it a fair deal) ?

don't think so. if the Canucks trade Kesler, then they're going to look to other moves that make them younger. don't see them having an interest in Plekanec. the fact about Plekanec is that he's entering his decline years. he's coming off one of his least productive seasons and he makes $5 million. IF he gets moved, it would be a salary dump type of deal where you'd see a second rounder come back. i don't think he has a ton of value right now.

I'm not sure I can handle .8.

But Stee is the living example of it being possible.

I'm quite sure he's still got decent value.

But whatevr.. .if not Plek... I'd still like to see a deal to get Bieksa

I'd guess now that Torts is gone, kesler is happy again.
