So I think Eller just earned himself a new contract.

Same as Desharnais?

- EssuieToutJeune

Tough call.

Need to make room down the middle.

You could make a reasonable argument that with a little more effort, they would have mustered more than 18 shots.
- 3M

It would be an argument, sure. But I don't see how it's reasonable. It's reasonable to think that in game 6 of the ECF, the players didn't give their full efforts?

He'll be good.

And he'll be in the top 6 next season for sure.

- Pecafan Fan

i think maybe next year Montreal will maybe take a step back but i think it would be worth it if they get Tinordi and Beaulieu locked into 20-minute roles by season's end. it would be great to see those guys take on top-4 roles and have Gorges-Emelin as a third pairing.

This isn't the issue. The issue is that the effort they gave was not enough, and needed more, regardless of whether or not they had it to give. 18 shots isn't going to get it done in the pre-season, nevermind in game 6 of the ECF.

yes. they need to get these guys ready. you can't parachute young d-men in a playoff series and not expect them to be (frank)ed up.

worked with Subban but that's an exception.

i think there were some poopty calls against Montreal last night, but i think Montreal brought that on themselves in games 4 and 5.
- DoubleDown

at the end of the day less than 5 "scoring chances" and a no show by the usual suspects. very disappointing performance.
