That's fine, but I'm not going to expect him to be much more than a 4th line plugger, which to me is a reach in the 3rd round with more talented and highly regarded kids on the board.

Also, this upcoming season will be his fourth full year in Kelowna. Last year was his third.

I was thinking more about after his draft year.

It's a big deal if any of the kids do anything their first CHL season.

Is there a way to find out how many games the Flyers played both Rinaldo and Rosehill this past season?

This upcoming year he'll be an overager. I usually look at overaged seasons with a grain of salt.

You can do it the old fashioned way, look at each one's game log and see which dates match up

I think he has a somewhat higher upside than Rinaldo, but I'm not expecting him to be more than a 4th liner.
- Jsaquella

I'm not either, but I think he has the potential to be a good 4th line player. A guy who can kill penalties, be responsible defensively and add the physical element if it's needed.

Basically, if he becomes more than a solid 4th liner, I'll be surprised. Even the second round is a bit of a reach for a full-time NHL player, so if a 3rd rounder can become a solid, positive influence on the 4th line, I'll take it.

Honestly.. if thats the case I would expect his stats to go down this next season. He played against weaker defensive matchups this year.. next year he could be a primary focus and struggle against tougher d-players.
- jak521

I dont know what his match ups were. I'm not sure if the WHL has an extraskater site. I think argument is just based on overall scoring numbers. A guy like Laughton had a major jump once he was put into more of a scoring role. Goulbourne doesn't seem to have that kind of potential, but you never no without the opportunity.

Just the fact that the term z2 was created by flyers execs is disturbing. Like they hit the jackpot with Rinaldo. I guess the rangers would be dumb not to look for bomb boy or bomb bro in the draft this summer

Does anyone know if the Flyers draft picks after Z2 have shown anything to give hope? We heard so much about the 2012 draft class, but I haven't heard much outside of Morin, Hagg and Goulbourne from the 2013 class.

I know.

It was a horrible nickname by the Flyers. They made it seem like the classic Flyers drafting an enforcer instead of other skilled players available.

Pretty much a dumpster fire after the Hagg selection.

I don't agree with the mysticism behind hitting and momentum.

Come on. Are we really gonna criticize the organization for not cashing in on a 6th rounder?

That happens once in a blue moon, around the entire NHL.

Besides, Vasiliev looks like he's developing well.

That's like the guy on the Pens forum saying that St. Louis' mother dying should have no positive effect on him and/or the Rangers and that inspiration isn't real.

Vasiliev was a 2012 pick.

That's looking like a really good draft:

Laughton, Stolarz, Ghost, Leier, Willcox, Vasiliev
