Didn't Maatta need a procedure done on his shoulder? What's that looking like?

That's the thing.

Yeah, I'd love Doughty, Subban, Pietrangelo or Keith over him. But nobody is trading those guys, and if they do, it's going to cost an arm & a leg.

Byfuglien does score at an elite level, but he's more than just points. He's a good skater, especially for his size. He's capable of going end to end with the puck. He's very good in transition.

He might not be a hammer, but he's a damned big pair of pliers that can drive in the occasional nail and brings qualities that the rest of the defense lacks

Does he take 3 hour lunch breaks and take forever to finish the job?

sometimes you have to take the risk. if he does reach his full potential than you've got your number one defenseman at the right age. I mean your paying amac 5M what .75 more
- PhillaBully

My thing is, B.Schenn could be the centerpiece of a deal to land more of a sure thing. Also, might need Schenn if Lecavalier gets hurt for the 5th time in 5 years

I see. The thought in my mind is just Blair Betts, but that was dislocations. Hopefully that shoulder doesn't become problematic.

I always like when a contractor tells me he can't finish because he's too busy. Then I go out fishing and find him on the water

There is no way that would get Myers.
- MJL

They need offensive help, so one young " top" prospect for another.
There is no way I would trade both Schenns for Myers.
I do like Myers and would really like to see him in Philly.
Maybe a 3rd or McGinn along with B Schenn and Grossman

That happens all the time down here. We were on a big project & nobody could find electrician..the GC told us not to worry, just run the wires however & he'd fix them after he got off the water

Grossmann is a limited & slow guy, subpar with puck, coming off an injury...he's not going to be a centerpiece in a deal for Tyler Myers

I fish so I understand. When the fish are biting, you won't get off the water if your arm was falling off.

Down here, near the Jersey Cape, it's rare to find a contractor who doesn't have a rod & tackle on his work truck. We used to have a dude who kept a kayak in his truck

At the very least, it would take B Schenn and a first round pick. Grossmann would just be a throw in. No disrespect meant towards Grossmann. But he's a defensive defenseman, albeit a good one, with bad knees. Young talented defenseman are at a premium.

He wouldn't be... B Schenn would be our centre piece along with Grossman and a 3rd for Myers... ( or maybe McGinn instead of 3rd)
