its distracting and takes away from the game.
his entire act is contrived. he'd be much better if he just called the game instead of trying to do all the "clever" stuff

He's really had a throbbing boner for "geometrically" recently.

When describing a situation, say an outlet pass, by a defenseman from the middle of his defensive zone. He passes the puck off the boards near the blue line and hits a streaking teammate in the neutral zone:

"Subban sends it geometrically to Briere on the right side!!"

Shut the (frank) up.
