There is more than just Corsi and Corsi Relative. Fenwick, QoC, PDO, etc. are all starting to point towards a more Baseball numbers game. So, yeah, you could have a team full of discounted players with high Corsi Relative, and play with a PDO over their relative level. And, naturally, have lots of players with good shot attempts consistently, (High Fenwick) comparable to getting on base.

It actually could be a real strategy for below cap teams.

There are only two teams that use a "mascot" as a symbol rather than a letter in the MLB.

Toronto

Baltimore

Nah, I doubt they complete a sweep, they haven't done well in statement games thus year, outside of the boston series.

Hears hoping they do though

IMO that's flawed thinking. Baseball is a one on one sport so individual advanced stats carry much more significance. Hockey is not one on one. It's five on five. And the stats in the NHL don't take into account who you are playing with. And in this day and age, whee you've got less traditional line set ups, that's a huge factor. Team stats are incredibly relvant. Individual stats have certain shortcomings that have yet to be addressed. Any team that starts to rely too much on these stats will be in trouble. And if someone points to Chicago I will cut them.
