Both teams are playing the same way - neither is getting favourable calls (see galchenyuks penalty that led to the rangers third goal in game two). The officiating hasn't been amazing and some blatant stuff has been missed but it is what it is.

Spitting venom one way or the other isnt helping anything.

The Habs did not cause Kreider to go skates first into Price - was he tripped up by Emelin, yes. But he also made no effort to not smash into Price.
