See, justice is served. Relax, it's just hockey. Now i'll bet you a beer that Stepan plays with his injured jaw next game.

Dont want to rehash this, but I think the majority of us on here are more pissed about no call on the play, and honestly could care less about the suspension. But hey, its over and done with, and time to move on to Sunday.

Thought it would be 2-3 games after watching the replay (didnt get to see game live). Hit wasn't directed at head but was pathetically late and from the blind side. Prust brings a dimension of play the Habs lack and could use on occasion, but that crap has no place in the game. Worst thing is both players mentioned being friends; wonder if that will persist after the broken jaw result?

Yep. No call on the play led to the next sequence of events which ultimately led Carcillo to be suspended. If the right call is made, Prust is in the penalty box or the dressing room and none of the rest of it happens.

I still can't believe that Quebec born referee could see that hit happen in front of him and not call a penalty.

Depends how you look at it. If judging by the suspension, it should have been a 5 minute major. Not saying we win, no one will know. But the dynamics of the game totally change.

Maybe it's because the french referee is related to Prust's french girlfriend!

True but that's the way the story goes. Rangers should win this series easy. Kreider took out our best chance to win the cup out of the series, even if it was accidental. The end result is that you have far superior team.

I'm outta here.

Emelin caused Kreider to crash into Price. Should have been a penalty shot.

I would have put Pacioretty on that penalty shot.

Dorsett probably doesn't fight Prust, Carcillo isnt kicked out so yes I'd say it dramatically changed the game even if nobody scored or did anything significant right after.

I think 2 games is right. Series has some bite to it now Sunday's gonna be fun.

Later man. And yes, its done and over, and looking forward to Sunday. Was just explaining that most of us on here just wanted the penalty called at the time. No big deal.

The thing is, refs don't get to make calls from the replays, which is why there are so often supplementary discipline situations on plays not called penalties originally. I don't have a replay here to look at, but there were a number of people saying the hit was so late the ref didn't see it because he was following the play (physically or visually) down ice. I don't know if that is true in this case. But it is true generally that often what is called on supplementary discipline could not reasonably be seen at full speed from the angle the ref (or linesman) would have.

Winning the next two games isn't realistic? Funny, if I recall the Rangers did take the first two, did they not, or you didn't get my little tongue in cheek instant analysis of the NHL's ruling?

I hope so. The games after stuff like this always seem to be a let down though. Always more hype than what actually happens. In all honestly though, all I want is a win. Don't care if not one check is thrown. Cant imagine my mental state if we lose Sunday.
