Stuff like that happens. It's a hockey play gone bad. - andrest
Yea I know. Gryba was penalized wasn't he? That's the issue. |

Where he hit him is irrelevant. That gryba hit is a good comparison. I felt the same way. Prust wanted to hurt someone without a doubt..it turned out to be Stepan - Slimtj100
One thing is for sure. Montreal have to hit the Rangers players even more. They should wear their D down and hit St-Louis and MacDonought (lol) every chance they get. It's the only way they'll counter their speed. It has to hurt. I don't want to piss you guys off, but I think we'll see even more physical play. |

Yea that's true. Neither of these teams are the most physical in the leauge by any stretch. Legal hits are fine. It's the blindside late ones that burn you up. |

I can't beleive that Montreal doesn't take it to them more. They seem to want to match speed against speed and it just won't work. We were lucky to have won the last game. |

As long as the hits are clean, I have no issue whatsoever. The Weaver hit that took Brassard out was a great hit. Dont know if either of our teams would play a physical game for 60 minutes though. Just not built that way. |

All fan bases are guilty of irrational thoughts lol. Sometimes tho, evidence has to take over the irrationality |

It really could be 2-1 rangers with us winning last night and you guys winning game 2. But that's what makes the playoffs what it is. Unpredictable, exciting, agonizing, etc.. |

Even the Ranger fan base. We will see what the league says. If he's fined, they see it my way. If he's suspended, they see it your way. I'm sure they be impartial. |

See, justice is served. Relax, it's just hockey. Now i'll bet you a beer that Stepan plays with his injured jaw next game. |

yes, that's it, the ref wish.
it is more catch as catch can. but lots of hours.
And the reason I prefer modding Rangers is that I can be in the Flyer thread and usually NOT mod the conversation I'm most emotional about. And most of the time the Rangers thread is really level headed. There aren't guys in here who are in richard waving contests that we get sometimes in Flyerland. - bodiva88

whoa, whoa, whoa. excuse me. why not? because Emelin didn't break his jaw? that was a charge from behind. it was a very dangerous and dirty hit. they can absolutely be compared. both dirty plays. - DoubleDown
Pouliot got the penalty he deserved. Prust got nothing

Regardless of if you believe two games is enough of the suspension for Prust, what it does show once again is that the officials totally screwed up last night. So you have a play that does not result in a penalty called, but warranted a suspension. Great job by the officials once again |

But the system corrects itself. It's not perfect but Prust won't play the next 2 games. |
