Too much risk to take him that high.
- Fakepartofme

How so? You trade down to 15 or something to draft him and get like a 3rd rounder or something, is that worth losing the guy you want?

Dang. I was hoping for a C with upside. Don't know anything about Ehlers so its Ritchie or Virtanen for me.

Lupul you suck I hate you!

Lupul looked pretty good when playing for the Leafs, I think he really matured and I have no problem with him.

WTF LUPUL GET ON THE OTHER WING WTF ARE YOU DOING?

Why do you suck now Lupul? What the heck is wrong with you?

I think we should move on from Lupul.

Phil Baltisberger from Guelph. Extremely competent two-way defender, has been a force in international competition, playing as the number 3 behind Finn and Ebert without getting many offensive zone opportunities, when both are gone and he is running the show next season people will see what a strong player they've gotten. Does a little bit of everything right.

Intriguing, was thinking centre,

Saw this guy, I would describe him as steady, nothing flashy, just does his job. Almost like Percy.

I would also add Oskar Lindblom because the Leafs did well going the SuperElit route with Andreas Johnson, so why not try again? Kid seems to have Sundin syndrome when he puts on the Swedish jersey.

Had to look him up

Lindblom is a powerful skater with a strong, two-way game. He isn't shy to do the dirty work and is a pain to move out from in front of the net. He gets himself open to create offensive chances but isn't overly flashy.

Here is a little write up about him

Ehlers is an explosive player who can beat even the quickest defensemen wide with his speed. He plays on his off wing and creates chances with sharp cuts to the middle complemented by an explosive wrister. He's equally good with the puck and can handle it both at top speed and in traffic.

- LeafMan

Seems like a player who doesnt "create" plays, but finishes them. He'll often stand off to the side and get fed the puck, or jump on rebounds or what have you. You look at a guy like Virtanen and he skates through players or forces the play...where as, to me, Ehlers appears to wait for the play to come to him. Just my observation, but I'm not keen on him.

He takes the puck and creates plays, very similar to Drouin.

He is a pick that would be a risk but one that could really pay off. I really like Virtanen too. If you don't want a safe pick, Ehlers is the guy.
