I know it's not over, but that Price injury really feels like a cold shower (don't know if that expression translates well into english) on what was a fun ride. - stinger67

Like Bergevin said saturday morning, "you have guys that get you in the playoffs, and others that help you win in the playoffs".

Then you have Leafs.

Eric have you not observed every UFA day ever? - Cape Breton Bruins
exactly this. There is no restraint when it comes to July 1st. See Clarkson, Clowe, etc. Someone's going to throw money at Vanek. It might even be the Islanders. I doubt he'll take it from the Isles, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Snow offer it.

I'm in the minority, but I agree 100%
A 7M or 8M player should be able to help the team in the playoffs IMHO - Not_Yan
I agree but Habs will still need to find another top 6 from somewhere if they want to compete next year. |

Thought you knew that by beating the Bruins, the Habs have also acquired Iginla's rights for next year. |

Well, the Bruins beat the Pens last year, so he went to Boston. Let's hope the trend continues.
So next year when the Habs make the playoffs, other Canadians/Cherry will have to find a different hypocrite excuse than "I hope Iginla wins the Cup" for not cheering for them. |

Its not over, certainly must win territory. Like games six and seven against the Bruins the Habs will need their best players to score some goals in pretty much every game to win this series. |

Iggy will be back with Boston IMO. Will just take some more creative cap work by Chiarelli.

the likelihood is that yes it's over, but some of these guys make it seem like we're playing the 75 Red Army. christ. this is a team that finished with 97 points in the regular season. |

Wasn't Briere suppose to be that guy in the top 6?
Let's hope he can find someone, he's earned the benefit of the doubt, but he's not immune to false steps.

I was stalking during the Bruins series too and the same sentiment was there after game five. Its easy to get up and down over the playoffs. |
