I'm guessing if you're the Islanders, you don't have much of a choice but to overpay.

Well Gerry Johansson got Price $6.5M for one series he won in 2007-2008.

Sounds like SJ wants to start getting younger.
I could see him in Vancouver.

Would be nice to see him in SJ.

(frank) Vancouver. I feel bad for the fans cause they didn't have anything to do with destroying the team. But still.....(frank) Vancouver.

Markstrom and Lack are both young and pretty good. Can't see Van getting in another mess with a high paid older goalie who will be looking for term.

I don't think he'll get term though.

and Lack and Markstrom have clearly shown they aren't ready.

I feel you have to trade Pateryn in that case though. He was the best player in Hamilton last year, it's kind of a slap in the face.

Nygren is a bit of an enigma. I've always been intrigued by his game and potential, but I don't think he'll play anywhere but Montreal or Sweden (Can't say I blame him for not wanting to be in Hamilton). I feel like he could turn into a good NHL player, but the way the teams stocked at the moment the chips are never going to fall properly for him to make it in.

- ehabs9

I don't think Nygren is ever coming back.

Possibility at a cup run is definitely first on his list though. Not happening in Vancouver right now.
