He's having a good tourney, but look at his whole body of work.....very very average goalie
- sensarmy_11

Do the stats back that up?? He's top 10 in GAA and SV% (His SV% is = to Furcale).

He was named MVP of the entire QMJHL playoff and really shone in the memorial cup.

His stats are pretty good for a Q goalie. He's also an overager, so who knows how they'll translate.

My casual scouting report is that I was surprised they were praising him for cutting down the angles and being big in the memorial cup coverage, because I thought point shots and traffic were a big weakness from him. His lateral quickness and ability to make the save is great though. In that respect, he's similar to Fucale actually (I still think Fucale is decidedly better).

It’s always so very tough to judge with goalies. Doppeldouche was yapping about how great Lehner was before (and as far as goalie prospects go, I actually agree he is one of the better ones), but this season, he’s hardly been outstanding. And then you get piles of goalies that are drafted in the third, fourth, fifth round, and then all of the sudden are superstars when they hit 25. They’re just so completely unpredictable.

Senator prospect, Curtis Lazar, scores on leafs prospect, Antoine Bibeau, in the third overtime period to send the Edmonton Oil Kings to the Memorial Cup Final.

Both players looked good.

Marlies dominate the Texas Stars 5-1 in the first game of the conference finals, to remain the only unbeaten playoff team in the league.

the team has been an absolute juggernaut.

What is the breakdown of the team in terms of prospects and AHL veterans?

More prospects than vets leading the way. Carrick, Leivo, D'Amigo, Holland, among the top 6 scorers in the playoffs, all 22 or younger this season (although I think D'amigo may have turned 23 recently). Brennan was obviously the most important D, and he's actually a free agent now. But Granberg played top shutdown guy, and Percy plays on the second line (actually has even split time on top line). There are only about 5 or 6 guys over the age of 24 playing in the playoffs. And 3 of them aren't even playing full time.

Leivo has turned into the gem of that group. Good size, and goal scoring ability. Got some NHL time. 42 points in 59 games. Would have been in the mid 50s or so had he played the full AHL season. Pretty good for a 20 year old AHL rookie.

Are there enough players that could graduate to the NHL full time for the next season, either by way of trade or roster spots opening up on the leafs roster?

If they earn the spot you make a move. If a forward earns a spot, bolland, kulemin, mcclemment, all could be gone. Mason Raymond. Kadri is traceable but I'd rather not. On d, franson should be traded. Gleason bought out.

Most likely on the leafs roster are Leivo, Percy, granberg. Damigo could get some time. He's kind of like Hoffman.

Aside from their 30 yr old goalie their team is lead by 20-23 year olds. The 4 remaining team rank in age (8th, 11th and 12th). Marlies 20th. 6 of top 8 pts getters are 23 or younger. Two of their top dmen are under 23.

#‎Leafs‬ prospect Antoine Bibeau has been named the Outstanding Goalie of the 2014 ‪#‎CHL‬ ‪#‎MemorialCup‬ after making 178 saves in just four games and finishing the tournament with a .932 SV%!

Bibeau was also named to the tournaments all-star team

Not sure why we’re talking about it in the Marlies thread, but yeah, that kid has put together some serious junior hardware in a hurry. I wonder where he plays next year. Marlies?

Bibeau was phenomenal against Halifax. I don't know much about him before he got on Val D'Or. He's been the best goalie in the Mem cup for sure though.
