Guinness
Thai Spicy Fried Rice
BPA all the way
Trade up: Doesn't seem like this is the draft to do so
Trade down: Wouldn't bother me a bit; need more picks and to hit on more picks

The key to trading up is getting into the top 5 -7 or so, after that, there's not a ton of difference between a lot of these guys, according to most draftniks.

What's funny is the hawks were the better team and had the better chances over the course of the series.

Leighton wasn't great, and that hurt, but holy hell, that Blackhawks team was effing loaded

If Antti Niemi wasn't basically a slightly above average goalie, it could've been worse for the Flyers -- the Flyers were a good team, not a great team.

That Blackhawks team had a third line with Andrew Ladd on it -- that's pretty effing stout

It would be fun watching him with Giroux. I don't think we should get our hopes up though. He's not really a Flyer type player either. If they trade up, I don't think it would be for him unless he really dropped.

I've erased that series from my memory. I remember little bits and pieces. I know Leighton wasn't great, but I remember the defense in front of him being pretty bad as well.

And yet if Leighton could have posted even a .900 SV% instead of .876 the Flyers would have won the Cup. He didn't make one big save in six games and let in multiple soft goals.

And just think if we had Mason the whole series against the Rangers?
We could very well still be playing

Absolutely -- our forwards were close in ability, and so were the top 3/4 defensemen.

But Pronger was a little older, and when he started to wear down in the games and they had to run that third pair out there...hell.

Getting that thing to six was pretty solid work. Maybe if we had 47-goal goal Gagne...

And if Lundqvist missed that last step off the bus and fell creating a domino effect resulting in several broken legs, the Flyers could still be in this.

I remember our top 4 being gassed by the end of that series. If Emery doesn't suffer the hip injury and the Flyers acquire Mez at TDL, I think we win that series.

I'm beginning to remember more. I remember Richards and Carter playing on the same line and looking awful.

They were, but people don't always want to give Carter the credit he deserves for playing with severely injured feet.

Yeah, he missed the open net. We all saw it. And he had flaws.

But he has more character than he gets credit for, sometimes. He was trying to gut it out.

I think Richards was gassed -- that was just a damn tough matchup. Toews and Hossa and Sharp are still a load now. Think about how brutal it was facing those bastards when they were four years younger. Hossa alone...that's just some tough, tough sledding against a team like that.
