So I was just checking out some of the upcoming FA's and a few names piqued my interest...

Mike Cammaleri? He'd probably cost too much, but adding a ton of speed and puck burying ability on the top line would be nice.
How much is too much? 4 Million?
Radim Vrbata, same deal as Cammaleri, but is a RH shot and would cost less. I could actually see that happening.
Good pick up.
Matt Moulson. Not sure what he'll cost, and doesn't seem like a Bruin type, but he can score so Im interested lol
Crashes the net hard enough. How not a Bruins type?
Dany Heatly. Now, this is a total dark horse... It would totally depend on the $. I might be way off, haven't seen him play since he took a nose dive but I feel like he could be productive on a sheltered line playing with a guy like Soderberg. Again, I could be an idiot for even considering this lol
So bad....steer clear.
Ray Whitney. Speed. Experience. Offense. Reliability. The whole package. He would be a force on L3 with Yeti
Old but gold.
Mike Brown. Thornton replacement that would add speed. Paille - Soup - Brown would be a great L4
Terrible. Not half the player Thornton is.

Tough to say now how much is too much though 4m sounds very doable. Thought he'd look for much more.

Moulson doesn't strike me as being committed to D. Maybe Im wrong though

Forget I ever said Heatley. Just forget it

Im surprised to hear that about Brown. I thought he looked good with Sj but that was just one game against Bos.

Hard to say, not easy to gauge a 4th liner from another team lol. He was fast though. I'm kinda fixated on that right now... I want speed anywhere in the lineup we can get it without a huge shakeup

Terrible possession player. Hits lots because he never has the puck. Zero offense. Middle weight fighter. Keep Thornton. Trust me.

I'm down to keep thorty but from what I'm hearing he's done in Boston. I bet they trade Marchand too and try to clean up their act a little, I'm pretty sure that's why Thorntons leaving

no need to panic the Bruins are still stacked and will again be one of the top teams in the east next year

they lost to the Habs a team that has been giving them issues before any of us were born, even in 2011 the year the Bruins won it all they were one deflection or bounce away from losing to the Habs, don't make such a big deal about it

Haha, I don't want em to overreact but a reaction needs to be made. That's two straight years speed has beat the Bruins. No need to overhaul but they gotta find a way to get more speed up front. I think Having Dougie and Krug on D helped immensely in that regard, but they need more

Streaky scorer at best, he totally disappeared in the last 2 weeks when the Yotes needed him most. (I could say that for the entire bunch of forwards though) Plus, I'm not sure he wants to leave PHX at this point.

Thornton is going to be 37 this summer and the Bruins would be wise to go with a younger cheaper player. The 4th line has been pretty stale over the last year or so, and Thornton is odd man out. You could see it towards the end of the season when his minutes continued to shrink.

Lucic isn't going anywhere, he may be an idiot but he is still a top flight power forward.

Marchand I could take him or leave him. I've gotten pretty tired of his act and wouldn't mind seeing him moved if it meant getting a more natural goal scorer. I hope Chiarelli sends the feelers out on Marchand to see what his potential return could be.

This seems to be the general consensus

The question I have is how much of how Marchand plays falls squarely on Juliens shoulders?

I figure if a coach didn't like the way a player played they would straighten him out or sit him

id rather have thorton than carron,... Or barkowski. Our forth line player that gets 7 minutes a game isn't the reason we lost.

Remember that Marchand for subban trade rumor that went around a couple years ago??? Yeah, I'd do that now,... All turned around on the that one.

I agree, but I think given his age, the Bruins would get more out of someone like Florek, Fraser or Lindblad.

I don't think Thorty is re-signed, Lucic goes nowhere he might be a bonehead but you don't replace the positives he brings. Marchand I'm ok with trading, I'm done with his sideshow to be honest.... He's becoming more annoying and less productive.

Marchand could get a nice return I think esp if packaged with a Kelly/McQuaid/Bart
