Pretty silly to call him a fradulant tough guy, YouTube his fights so he's a real tough guy that stands up and fights big guys and wins....

He might act like a total douchebag sometimes, but doesn't means he isn't a tough guy

You obviously don't know what "Tough" means

I remember both of them well and couldn't agree more. Ditto with Lucic and his behavior, especially during the playoff series with Montreal.

Lucic is a big talented forward who can contribute on the scoresheet. Laracque was a big untalented forward who could fight and do little else. If Lucic drops the gloves there, the Bruins are at a total disadvantage because he's in the box for five minutes or more, even if he were to knock Laracque out and make him eat out of a feeding tube for the rest of his career. It's the same thing with John Scott. He didn't refuse to fight Scott because he was afraid of him. He didn't fight John Scott because doing so would be the most moronic thing he could do. I disdain Lucic as much as the next guy, but to say he's a wimp for refusing to fight goons is just plain idiotic.

I believe that Lucic wil regret this last month and a half of his hockey career. He has the ability to be overpowering on the ice. If he just left the dirt bag crap to Marchand he could continue on with what has been a fine hockey career up until recently.

it sure is nice to finally see the hockey world recognizing what we Canuck fans found out the hard way in 2011 - the Bruins are a level 5 douche club who the league allowed to get away with friggin murder (or at least a broken back). And when the Canucks tried to hit back (Rome) they got suspended - and who was in charge of suspensions again???

Then we had to sit and listen to the talking heads on CBC or NBC (didn't matter) bad mouth Van for diving and cheap anitics while the Bruins played "play off" hockey.

Oh ya anyone remember who the talking heads were - Cherry (Bruin), Stock (Bruin), Milbury (Bruin), Healy (94 Ranger) and Maclean (Douche) so no bias there.

Thank you Montreal - I actually cheered out loud when Patch scored the 2nd goal in game 7... also can we have Weiss back please?

Wow, I left to do some running around and yard work and it got off topic huge! Haha

I wasn't saying anything bad about Boston, just felt Lucic should have taken a dif road. Like I said, great series, great rivalry, great teams. Bergeron is a beast and should be wearing the C for that team.

C'mon guys, we don't have to argue about free health care lol. Also, I make around $130-140,000 a year and my tax rate is around 30% and then some extra deductions for pension. If I paid 60% in tax off my cheque I would go nuts! Hahaha!

Before accusing us (canuck fans) of whining, let me ask you this...

What if you had to watch that whole 7 game series you just finished with nothing but ex Habs on every panel, during every intermission and every pre and post game show no matter the channel?

What if the panelists were straight up biased against your team?

Now what about if your tax dollars helped pay them their salary too (CBC is tax payer funded) would you complain then?

And if you did, would it be considered whining?

I am going to use Deryk Engelland as an example, I know Lucic has more hockey skill but both are guys that play a rough style of hockey and fight. Engelland never yaps his gums at opposing players, even if his team is down he doesn't go out and try to start something with his lips. He very well might go out and lay out a couple of guys with clean hits, but everything he does as a tough guy is done while playing hockey. He also never backs down. If BLG was chasing Engelland around he wouldn't have to chase to long, he has fought John Scott and Derek Boogaard in the minors while weighing in at 215 lbs and making 525,000 dollars a year. He is a real tough guy, Lucic is.....well we all know what he is.

Well done. Why cant Lucic be suspended for his threatening coments ? His spear alone should of gotten him suspended in itself. Why does this guy always get a pass when it comes to discipline in this league ?
