Uh, you might want to rethink that train of thought. Cause you're coming off as a DB, and I don't mean Dan Bylsma.

And the Rangers played horrible in games 3 and 4. Fact is it is a best of 7. Just saying. And there is nothing wrong with a goaltender stealing a game. Isn't that why Fleury is so often criticized?
- Blueshirts16

Completely agree. Penguins had a stranglehold on the series, but didn't have the killer instinct to finish it off.

Lundquist had a bit to do with it as well. Hot goalies, as always, are leading the way...King Henrik, Crawford, Price, and Quick are all leading their teams in PO performances.

And yes, I think LA will beat Ana tonight.

With the players he was handed, it should have been Cups, as in more than one.

True. And I wasn't sensitive over your joke. I'm just talking hockey. I thought you were trying to say that the Rangers got calls or something. As far as officiating, it wasn't bad in this series and pretty even. Bad calls here and there both ways but overall it was good to see them let the guys play

He did, but the Penguins poor play also gave him some confidence. Game 4, the Rangers played better, but Fleury stole that game, and the Penguins were able to crack Hank.

You are right, and that's why we are at the point we are today. But you said he didn't accomplish anything, and i was correcting you.

The depth and 3rd and 4th line of the Rangers outplayed the Pens. Plus Lundquist outplayed Fluery, not that Fluery wasn't good. And you guys needed Sidney to step up, but the Rangers shut him down pretty good.

Bylsma got penalized for the mess Shero made. Guy was an awful GM that rode two of the best players in the league

Their depth was garbage and their bottom 6 was basically AHLers. Terrible GM

There are coaches you just don't fire and if someone does you grab them .trotz, ruff, tippet, Babcock and quinville come to mind.the preds never should of fired trotz, he got everything out of his teams and will succeed wherever he goes.even with coach killer ovy.i actually don't think he is a coach killer, but the perception in there

I think that it is quite funny that both teams who the rangers beat will have a new person as GM next year.

Wonder if Shero will come back to Philly as assistant GM.

Guess there is no respect for the Rangers.

I'll tell you why. They want Babcock in a year when his contract is up in Detroit. Why fire Bylsma now, hire someone else for the coming season only to fire them once Babcock becomes available? The decision today on Bylsma is nothing more than a stay of execution until the arrival of Babcock.

Let's use some common sense here, DB won't be the head coach for the Pens. I wouldn't use the word "retained" He is a "lame duck" ready to get canned.

DB won't be retained by the new GM , they just want to be able to pin responsibility of the new coach on the new GM like they did with Shero.

do you think maf will be the next goaltender experiment?
- Flyfreaky

I'm not sure, but I wouldn't bet against it. I don't see any reason to bring Miller back (I think he ends up in SJ) and bringing in a player at any position on a 1-year "prove it" deal (which is basically what trading for MAF would be) seems to be Army's style.

I do not think Trotz will be in Pittsburgh.

If Shero had stayed maybe...but assuming he is gone...I don't think bringing Trotz here will happen.

Maybe they will offer him both jobs?

is it possible that the pens made the decision that they did not want to pay dan to coach against them this upcoming year? They will promote the asst GM to GM (at least for this year) and then go after Babcock when his contract runs out? The new GM can say "we are giving him a chance to show....blah...blah" then go after the coach they are rumored to want?

i cannot put this all on Shero alone. The scouting has not been great either. they cant seem to draft a winger but draft D men like crazy..but keep them in WB/S. 15 players signed and only $15M left with the cap.

I'm not so much concerned who the new coach is so much as what the new GM comes in and does this summer. They are completely handcuffed by the cap. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Pens make a big deal to clear space. Maybe Neal for an up and coming D man and a 1st rounder. Maybe an even bigger move(though less likely) like Malkin. They could easily get two 1st rounders and two 2nd line players if they shopped him.

Regardless, I dont envy this new GM at all. I've been shaking my head at people calling Shero one of the best GMs these past few years. It's a miracle the Pens aren't also stuck with that Staal contract right now as well.

the blues have to get it right this time as they're built for a long playoff run now and anything less will be unacceptable

And the NHL gifted the Rangers this last series because of St. Louis' mom dying.

Huh? What kind thing is that to say. That's the most classless sour grapes comment I ever heard.
