The Habs are like the Leafs in Canada.
You either lover them or hate them. There really is no in between. - StormCloud
True... I think you can still cheer for a rival team though. The habs are a good story this year.
People who identify themselves as a fan of one team by hating on another aren't really hockey fans, or even real fans of their own team. These people tend to just hate on the other teams more than they cheer for their own. |

That awful John Amirante is their regular guy. Sheesh he sucks.
They did have Christian Van Horn sing it for a game I attended at MSG this season. He was fabulous (opera singer). It would be great if they'd have him. - bodiva88

I just stop cheering when Boston loses... I'll watch, sparingly the next round, moreso the West... and I'll watch the Cup because I love hockey, only nice thing is you can enjoy hockey with zero heart attacks when your team is out |

Your argument is logic. However cheering for a bunch of milionnaires paid to put a puck in a net is all but rational, so your argument is flawed. |

To summarize more eloquently... there are some (trolls) people who hate the Leafs more than they love their own team. |

Kinda like this. IE there's no point in me cheering for the Habs to lose. I don't mind if they win. Its when they win and the Hab fans go nuts gloating in Augello's that I'll start minding. |
