Coming from a Detroit fan this holds no merit.

Except, it does. I know my team is middle of the road these days.

If Crosby finds that extra gear that only he has then the Pens coast. If not then I think it's a late night and Rags in OT.

I want the Rangers to win(for some reason I just find myself cheering for them, especially after the MSL thing last game). But I predict the Pens will win.

As do I, but as an Oiler fan I will always have a connection to the Rangers.

TY, feeling is mutual given that all your 80s stars helped us win our 94 Cup.

You bet. Most of us cheered for Mess,Anderson , Lowe ,Mac T and Tikkanen over the Canucks that year. Plus I still love Sather, so it's pretty natural. Feel similarly to LA.

Pittsburgh sucks. They suck. They stayed at a hotel as a last resort of overcoming their spoiled, entitled culture. Their core are spoiled, their coach thinks the stretch pass is a 'system', and they don't do fundamental things like screen and cycle. If Pittsburgh wins somehow tonight, then the problem is really only going to become worse.

If Sis Crosby wasn't one head injury away from being in the front office, I would be 100% as opposed to 85% into trading right winger Evgeni Malkin along with Letang, Neal, Fleury, et al. The time to maximize the return for all of those players has come and gone; now Pittsburgh has the potential to execute a B- rebuild before Sid is a 30-year-old Adam Oates clone.

Huh? I heard Pens fans say he is the best who ever played, ranking him above Gretz, Mario, Jagr, etc....

Mario killed penalties and could deal with being shadowed by players like Brandon Dubinsky. I personally watched Jagr carry two men to the net and score on elite goalies. Sid is probably as good as a guy like Adam Oates, which places him below the likes of Joe Nieuwendyk or Pierre Turgeon.

I know... I didn't think ex-Penguin Rico Fata commented much around here. Yes, the team often resembles a train wreck, but come on. Way to put the negative in fanatic.

Yeah, not a fan, but Crosby is the best thing going today. I can't dispute that.

It would be easier on Sid if the coaching staff supplied Sid a guy to screen the goalie and an elite non-Pascal-Dupuis winger to work the puck in the offensive zone, but the organization hasn't done that. The Penguins have weighed the season on undisciplined play from everyone wearing a letter and the defensive prowess of Rob Scuderi. It's not anywhere near good enough. Have you seen the blog from the Pens' guy?

I don't ever read the Pens blogs. I can barely cruise the thread, seeing as how any comment I make is met the arrogant response of "Your team sucks, you know nothing"! Not a fun place to talk hockey, IMO.
